Bards get a self and group AE threat reduction, which also doubles as a WoW trinket. It was janky last couple phases, but it did work most times. I trained many groups. Unintentionally of course.

I was thinking more of the UO provocation skill where you could play music and get a monster to attack whatever target you wanted. If you screwed up the skill check, the monster would come after you.
I had a thief bard character that we used to PVP north of Minoc on the Japanese server for some reason, and you could go steal somebody's Black Pearl so they couldn't cast energy bolt or teleport, and when they went to go get you provoke one of the wil-o-wisps floating around up there, and you would sic em on whoever was attacking you. Those little bastards would tear people up and made for a lot of fun shenanigans.

The only PVP I've seen was this morning. I happened upon two people breaking into a camp of lvl 10 mino's. Then I noticed a gold pile on the ground and just assumed it was one of theirs. Then they had another "onlooker" come up, and I saw the tank from the original two grab the gold aura and become pvp enabled. The onlooker wasnt alone and had another person with them. They attacked the tank. The tanks buddy comes in to help. They all become PVP with monsters in tow. The attackers still lost because it was a cleric and a tank (shit needs nerfed from what I understand?)
But thats the most organic PVP Ive seen happen so far and that was fun to watch.
