No, but you can "play" something like it from

Pretty shitty game. I like it has a character that I picture Mist Mist looks like though

This could be me missing some context, but I thought you were heavily into robotics/ai/machine learning vs. game engine development toolset development. Just curious if you swapped over to game dev vs. whatever you were in when it was more robotics based.
Check out the previous few posts in this thread, I'm into AV simulation for now.

I feel like I haven't heard much about what Boston Dynamics is focusing on since Hyundai bought them. I hope they release something that totally opens up some industrial sectors but as cool as their demo videos are I haven't seen that impact yet.

Yeah, how do you have 40 years of Boston Dynamics video without a single commercial product in it? I know that they're selling a few of those robot dogs now but criminy, that's a long time to not make any money.

They don't make a lot of main stream news but there's quite a few of the robo-dog things out and about. A lot of industrial inspection/monitoring apparently.

Necro. But is Boston Dynamis AI or just programmed to do some thing? I mean AI is the mega buzzword, get on board.

They use AI. They have switched to machine learning instead of fancy math to figure out how to move and balance. Atlas is also connected to Google Gemini to try to help it figure out how to do tasks. I can imagine a conversation for the ages with a retarded robot talking to a retarded LLM trying to figure out how to pick up a box and put it on a table but that doesn't mean it won't rule the world someday.

Pretty much all complex robotics have been driven by AI and rules-based systems working together for a while Deep learning, edge learning, & rule-based vision systems | Cognex I imagine Boston Dynamics started using something like Convolutional Neural Networks for image processing a decade+ ago.

The amount of AI-driven systems will continue to increase, but there will always be a place for rules-based programming.

We already have that: commercial vehicles.

Hear me out. Whether you Uber, take a flight somewhere, etc. you’ve already proven your willingness to put your life in someone else’s hands. A.I. isn’t a “machine” making choices… a person decided every choice it will make.

So for me, I accept there are times when I have to choose that: I don’t have a boat, have no skill in sailing, so it’s the airline life for me. But the second I could pilot my own stable flying vehicle, I would choose that every time to go everywhere. I don’t trust my life in other people’s hands for shit.
