searched and searched and did not even find an old thread for this.... weird.

Anyway, I'm trying to find if this is ever going to be re-released again in IMAX 3D before the 2nd one comes out. It's hard to search for it because all you get are the sequels in the results.
Kids are old enough now and I want to show them this the right way the first time they see it, on the big screen in Imax 3D.

Anyway, if anyone knows about a future re-release date for this, please post.

You're vastly underestimating how many people would do it for the health plan alone. Jake was crippled but able to swap into a whole new body in its prime, stronger and better healing. IIRC longer natural life span and they don't appear to have a drastic falloff at an older age.

Yeah that was one of the big problems with the movie. For how much emphasis they put on the science and being plausible, the Navi where an incredibly absurd species. Perfect in every way all the way down to being able to form large communities without the issues of sanitation, food supply etc.
