Don't spam them with nasty shit. Spam them with useless unexpected nonsense. Equestrian monthly, black entrepreneur, golf digest, BYU graduate education information packet, etc. Colleges are great because I assume you only wanna sign them up for free stuff.

We sold multiple pieces of formalwear in pristine condition, they used it, filed appeal saying we gave them the wrong item, and then got their money back pending receipt of the item in return.

What we got back only one of the items, not all of the items, and it damaged and used and completely unsalable and we were forced to give full refund. Losing out hundreds of dollars in the process.
What all personal info of theirs do you have available to use against them?

Full names (multiple), addresses, and email addresses all readily available.

Paypal issued the refund through their obnoxious policy which boils down to hearsay with the benefit going to the buyer instead of the seller.

At this point just trying to figure out the most appropriate forms of retribution, then a formal ask (with associated payment) will be provided.

in reality you are pretty fucked, as said ebay/paypal sides with the buyer almost always since the buyer can just do credit chargeback or bank reversal and ebay definitely isn't eating the losses, so the seller gets fucked.

its part of doing business, just like if you run a store you have to deal with shoplifting and employee theft its something you have to deal with as an online seller. assume 5-10% of your sales are fraud and budget accordingly. only ship to verified paypal, set the checkmark on ebay where you don't sell to people with more than 2 negative feedback, etc.

now you can pour an infinite amount of time and effort into dealing with these guys, but chances are they really won't give a shit. you could get a lawyer friend to write up a threatening letter, follow it up with a police report in their county and yours for fraud (across state lines) and send them a copy of the report. in reality that won't do shit since the police don't give a fuck but some people will get a little scared.

if you are really into it you can file with a debt collection agency, you basically pay them to go get the money and they will hound the person endlessly. again, nothing really done but you are outsourcing harassment.

i mean you could get into shit like hiring locals to go threaten the guy or do it yourself with a gun but at that point you have crossed the legal line and the blowback will probably be severe if things go wrong. Legally your options are hitting them with lawyer notes, police report, putting a mark on their credit history.

Keep in mind when you start stooping to a scammers level, you never know what kind of crazy ass shit they may do back to you.

If you go the back yard harassment route just make sure you cover your tracks and they can't trace it back to you. Especially if you go the extra mile with it.

You can really fuck with people by signing them up for porn call backs, craigs list ads, mail stuff etc but you can get yourself into trouble if you go all in and they can prove its you. Last thing you want is them dragging your ass to court and getting a restraining order against you.

I'd just let it go and count it as a cost of doing business.

For the record, I'm no expert in internet retribution. Just trying to get the relevant details out there so you get the best info possible to smite the PayPal scamming shit-sacks. Given the data you have on them, some pretty relevant suggestions have already been made (make them friends of the KKK, big black dildo fan club, local gay sex meetup, ISIS, etc). If you have other info, it may open other avenues.

From personal experience, I wrote my senator or congressman via email once and the amount of bullshit political spam they sent me afterwards (which I never opted in to) was mind bottling. So sign them up for the mailing list of every local politician / political party / crackpot political reform group you can find and they will fucking rain spam on them with a vengeance.

Start there and go where your morals allow you.

Also, depending on how pissed you are, how well you documented the items sold and how much time & money you are willing to waste, you could bring legal action against them. It would have to be about principle, because it isn't going to be financially satisfying.

If you're feeling really vindictive, SWAT them. Call their local jurisdiction police, (helps if you have a woman do it), claim that there is a domestic violence/hostage situation/bomb threat/whatever going on in hysterical tones. If you're lucky the cops will show up in some kind of force. If the guy loses his cool when he's dealing with the cops, they will likely beat the shit out of him and/or possibly shoot him. Obviously do this in such a way the cops can't trace the call back to you. Obviously even if this is successful you don't get your money back though.

You could break bad on his car. Mix up some thermite, just a bit will do it, then put it on the hood of his car. It will burn through the engine block once ignited. This isn't ideal if he's far away and you would have to travel to him of course.

Hmm, a quad copter drone big enough to haul around a pipe bomb with an impact fuse. That one's for if you want to make the news since I'm not sure anyone's done that before.

Sign them up for a bunch of social media sites with their email addresses, then post a bunch of right wing stuff and link it to some SJW's and then stand back as they get the guy fired from his job.

Does Anonymous have like a hitlist waiting list or anything? Those guys give me the impression of being bored and looking for things like this to do.

Honestly if it was me I'd probably pull aJay and Silent Bob on their asses.

Don't swat people Jesus christ
Seconded on this. Fuck that shit is retarded and anyone who does it deserves to be hung by their nuts in a vice-grip over a cliff until they rip, leaving said swatter to fall to their death (minus their scrotum tissue still securely gripped in the vice).

Agree don't swat them but If you are really all in you could jump on tor and find a few good options. Maybe hire some hackers to plant kiddie porn on their computers or buy some heroine with their info and send it to them both followed up with anonymous tips to the police. Or use their info to buy stolen identity info and get them in trouble for identity theft. VPN if you do any of this

Realistically I would wait like 6 months or so before you do anything. Let them forget about them fucking you over so when you do finally start fucking with them they think its the person they fucked over the other day.

This is 100% the only correct answer on this thread. This is exactly what small claims court is for. You don't have to go vigilante on them. Just get the courts involved... Legitimately (do not swat them, jesus)

Yeah, wait till you're down the list of scam victims before you go nuts. Maybe it was on the old forums, but I remember someone putting out like a Craigslist ad for collecting old motor oil, batteries and tires or something while they were on vacation.

I thought of a pretty good revenge scheme several years ago, never used it, but I figure since we're sharing, here it is.

If they're a married couple or just long time together, arrange to have a female call the house ( * read note below) . When you know the husband is at work or whatever. Have her sound surprised by the female answering, but awkwardly ask for the man by name.

"Oh, umm, is Peter there?"

"who is this???"

Immediate hang up, Click.

Then let the mayhem of an angry woman do all the damage.

Simple, quick and wholly effective.

* Okay the note, probably a real bad idea to use an actual female here, consider the potential blow-back from having your GF involved in this. So my plan was to record the single line of dialogue myself and use a simple audio tweak on computer to raise the pitch to sound female.
