Lol. I literally keep a tab open just for Elon's tweets+replies. He's the only guy I follow that I read every single tweet. I watch tons of his interviews on Youtube. I'm a big nerd so I can't not like the guy, but I'm not a sycophant and not afraid to poke fun.

Elon embarrasses himself by proclaiming to know better than all the cypherpunks who have devoted their lives to crypto over the last 10+ years. When Elon talks about engineering rockets and cars, he says a lot of brilliant stuff, like 'you're always wrong, try to be less wrong'. But when he talks about crypto he mentally throws all that out. Maybe his mind is going back to the Paypal days, I dunno. The recent Everyday Astronaut interview he did was brilliant though and I recommend.

I never said that 'only experts should be listened to'. In fact I implied the opposite. Is Vitalik not an expert? There are no cypherpunk diplomas, guy. Elon is making arguments that have been hashed out at length during the block size war because he hasn't read the history. He's not 'going back to first principals' and coming up with some novel new obvious idea that people somehow missed. Maybe that happens with rockets but not crypto.

I don't follow Elon and I've only ever watched maybe three long-ish documentary style videos about him. So, when you say X, Y, and Z about Elon without saying why or quoting him, it sounds like an ad-hominem, especially in the context of "Hurr, Elon's an idiot."

So, this makes the case you're making a lot more clear to me, thanks.

As far as Vitalek goes, why wouldn't him being on the Dogecoin Foundation create less FUD, since he's a bonefied expert? Why is Elon being a Dogecoin shill the end of the world when it comes to DOGE?

Doge is all hype and memes and no substance. I think that is obvious. You can make a lot of money off of hype alone, and 'momentum trading' is a real thing that can work. But that's not for everyone. Get out early if you do that.

If Vitalik and Elon come up with something technically interesting, then great. I extremely doubt they'll come up with something better to use than Bitocin + Lightning, but if they wanna try, great. Musk seems intent on scaling layer 1 however, which I think is the wrong track. I also don't see how using two distinct blockchains and merging doge with ethereum somehow will do anything, but Vitalik isn't a fool and I'd be interested in hearing what he comes up with.

As an investor, you need to look for reasons NOT to invest. Finding reasons to get in is not the hard part. It's human nature to want to jump in because it's exciting. I got burned buying Sovryn's token recently because I really like the idea of the project. I lost 2/3rds the value of my money in days because I didn't check the emission schedule. Gotta check the fundamentals.

I also bought Augur 4.5 years ago because hey, it sounded cool and Vitalik was an 'advisor'. Glad I dumped it soon after because now it's a faction of the value.

As an investor, you need to look for reasons NOT to invest.

Which is why broad criticisms with zero quotes or examples or technicals are incredibly tiresome and annoying.

I literally said this on the last page:

There's probably ten other reasons why DOGE is a bad investment. This Elon shit is retarded though.

You just keep saying, "Elon says smart stuff about X, but when he talks about Y he says dumb stuff." Like, am I just supposed to take your word on every point you make? Isn't your criticism that I'm taking Elon (I'm not I don't even follow the fucker) at his word, but then you're saying I should just take you at your word?

Gotta check the fundamentals.

Then talk fundamentals.

I also don't see how using two distinct blockchains and merging doge with ethereum somehow will do anything, but Vitalik isn't a fool and I'd be interested in hearing what he comes up with.

They had a Twitch interview back in July to discuss it: DOGE and ETH Bridge: Vitalik Buterin Rub Minds with Developers in Virtual Conference – Dogecoin News Hub. The video is a few pages back.

Other than that you and Flobee talk to me like I have thousands of dollars in DOGE. I have 10x the amount of money in BTC...

It is not obvious in the slightest.

I extremely doubt they'll come up with something better to use than Bitocin + Lightning, but if they wanna try, great.

Bridging Dogecoin to Ethereum to be used on Loopring will be infinitely easier, cheaper, and more secure than any Bitcoin + Lightning software suite you can think of. Literally all that is standing in the way of this are the bridge, which is actively being worked on, and some wallet software to incorporate it all, which is on the roadmap, and so it's even less of a pipe dream than Bitcoin + Lightning mass adoption.

I also don't see how using two distinct blockchains and merging doge with ethereum somehow will do anything, but Vitalik isn't a fool and I'd be interested in hearing what he comes up with.

It's about the community. Ethereum is about to ditch PoW, and if Vitalik is able to advise the Dogecoin Foundation in ways that make its PoW algorithms more compatible with Ethereum's vision (it already provides a flat block reward infinitely, which is crucial according to Vitalik) there's no reason why it wouldn't be a great fit in the Ethereum ecosystem for the next 100 years at least as the mining community migrates over. PoW is not ever going away, it just can't be the consensus mechanism for the premier transaction settlement layer of the world.

This is getting silly. I'm just a guy on the internet posting his opinions like everybody else. You don't have to listen to me. Don't get butthurt because I badmouth your investment. I'm not going to provide footnotes citations and references for every statement I make on a video game forum.

You know who else has the vast majority of his crypto stake in BTC? Elon. Elon is a guy who likes to say, "I'm not an investor, the only stocks I own are of the companies I started." Elon, the 'dogefather' owns a lot more BTC than dodge. When that changes wake me up.

I ask you to support your arguments so they make sense and you run with, "I'm not going to provide footnotes for every post I make on firesofheaven.org".

LOL, much wow. If you were my wife I'd think I was winning an argument.

Anyone else having connection issues with the Coinbase Android app?

Not myself or that app, but Metamask mobile has started refusing to accept my password that is stored in LastPass. But the Desktop browser extension works just fine. Not sure how there's a difference.

WTF happened over night? TRU up 20%, MATIC up 13%, ETH up 7%, VET actually finally up for the first time in a month of Sundays.

Never moved my Liquidity pool so it is back in range and generating and up an additional almost $1,000 in liquidity after being down $1,000.

Are there any new ways to move cash in to ecosystem than Binance.us or Coinbase and waiting the 11 days or so to transfer out?

Let me know if you find something easily workable for US citizens on this front.

I'm literally at the point where I'm hoping Amazon starts dealing in BTC , just on the hope that they would have a "how would you like to process your return? Back to CC, or to a BTC wallet" and it instantly becomes the biggest money laundering operation in history. heh

I really think OF banning porn due to the credit card companies has to lead to good things for crypto.

Porn was a huge driver of technology on the internet, and hasn't been for the past 10-15 years or so. This could turn it around for porn.

It also just really sheds a light on how much power the credit card companies have and why it needs to be taken away from them, in a way your average normie degenerate can understand. Porn is bigger than politics.

I think there's a huge opening for an entirely crypto-based OF competitor. NFTs for the content, all crypto for the payments.

I'm not really on team porn, but anything that gets normal people to better understand the issues with monetary censorship is probably a win. Obama's Operation Chokehold has been censoring the porn industry since 2013 though, this isn't anything new.
