2 red fish for fishing quest on academy is stupid.
Also have no idea what to do as far as upgrade paths after reinstalling the other day since i'm kinda in no-mans land as far as current progression guides go vs my current gear.

I wrapped up all the combat stuff this morning, pumped the 3 hammers from the Academy currency and 20k+ crons into taps with nada to show (well, I got a bump on an armor piece after I finished failing weapon taps with the leftover crons, but that's small consolation). I gotta find one more sheet AP but I think I have all the journal bumps and stuff, I think Im stuck til another wep tap succeeds.

pen bs main/awk, pen kutum off. tri fg armor, duo gloves/helm, base boots, pen crescent ring, tet/pen tung necks, tet tung ring, tet tung belt, pen tung neck. 304/306/406 (possibly a few logbook stats I don't have, i heard they got revamped too so maybe a touch higher when I do those, not sure if i'm missing any ap/dp ones tho).
One guy in game was saying I should use one of the academy pens on blackstar sub, and tap my pri blackstar sub to tet and use the hammers to go for the 2nd pen there to get sov subweapon, and also grind tet debos to upgrade to kharazads.

I'd get tet disto earrings, tet Debo belt and rings, turn a dec tuvala neck into kharazad, then save for pen debos to turn into nov kharazad. You can tap the kharazad neck yourself. Make sure you got the dec tuvala weapon and armor upgrades also and any other free stuff. Get sov offhand, pen it. sov awake and main, pen them. Pen BS are cheap now and dropping cheaper with Olvia academy. Don't forget crystals, reforge stones, lightstones, etc.

Well, turns out the pri blackstar I had from last time I was playing was at pity for pen and 1 short of pity for tet so it didn't end up costing me much to get that to pen this go around. Gonna take a while to get the silver together for the 20k caphras for the sov, though. Any reason to delay immediately turning either my main or awakening into a sov with the other free academy bs?

Yes. You lose monster AP from Blackstar to Sov if you're sub 310 AP. After 310 AP, you get 8 monster AP for each AP gained.

Man logged in for the first time since it seems 2020. I forgot how overwhelming it is. I have so much shit all over, in every storage, on every character. Currencies, crafting items, event items and so much more that I have no clue what it was all for anymore.
So many boxes of costumes I'll never have to buy one again. Apparently I never finished infinite mana potion, but I did do health at least. Going to level this seraph through the season and then do the academy stuff.
Blackspirit safe and claims at 50+ each. Its so ridiculous.
Think I had like 75 billion in silver, which doesnt seem much anymore , when I see pen blackstar for 25 billion.

Just do the Olvia Academy. It's the giant deer head on your top bar, next to the mini-map. That explains virtually every system in BDO, at length. There were even a couple things I learned as a player of the game off and on since 2017.
75B isn't "peanuts" and it'll get you about two TRI Fallen God armors (which you'll need a full set of for the first Edania boss) but yeah.. it isn't much these days.

Besides Olvia Academy, there should be a bunch of other free stuff or mostly free stuff you can get, multiple blackstars, kharazad neck, tri fallen god, heidel ball codes for hammers and 30k crons, I think you can get a free T10 horse still too. Don't buy anything until you get everything available, then you see what the best upgrade path is. Not sure what your AP is but you'll want enough to do Hexe, then Tungrad. If you're a lot lower than that then maybe Honglim?

Get all 3 so that you can get the Krogdalo Stable treasure item, which allows you to basically have a "portable" stable that all of your characters can access at any time.
