How do Giants hold up these days? When I was grinding in that range, Giants was a good spot that I favored because I wasnt strong enough to do Hexe. Giants seemed like a stepping stone prior to Hexe and has the same bosses and Disto drops (although at a lower rate). It might be an option worth considering as you prep up for Hexe

I'm over the cap for Hexe now. Got the Caphras I needed to make the Sov sub-weapon. The way the game is set up now once you exceed the cap for a spot, you move on -- there's no advantage to staying and overgearing it. At least, that's what it seems to me.

Sure there is. I don't recall what the next spot is according to the AP caps, but the longer you stay at Hexe, the more you will make. I wouldn't consider moving on to the next spot until you're over capped there as well. Unless you've tested that spot and are already making more.

Edit: I learned awhile ago that I prefer 1 shot grinding vs. rotation grinds. While I was farming Infinite Pots to sell, I was making 1bln/hr at Fadus, or 800mln if not counting the value of Atanis. Just felt more fun than grinding anywhere else at 324ap.

It really depends on the spot as to when you want to "move on". Sometimes, you don't need to cap the NEXT spot to move on, as even under the AP cap it can still provide more silver/h.

That said, Hexe is roughly the best you can do silver/h wise around 1200ish total AP. Yzrahid Highlands and Dehkia Thornwood can be slightly better in certain instances and both are "tower" spots, which some classes are better at grinding than a spot like Hexe. But, you won't really see a silver/h upgrade until around 1400ish AP, when you can start doing places like Dokkebi, Tungrad Ruins, DSR, etc.

I'm at 1242 ap with a Giants and Vells active. I need the Despairs to upgrade the Vells, so at least I should stick around and grind that out before considering moving on anyway. I know I'm doing Hexe poorly, best I've done so far is 15k trash, and I can't find any videos that showcase my particular situation. I feel like I need a Grind Coach. =D

I preferred Marni realm there and when you get the tombstone guy events, don't wait around for them to spawn all the mobs. Move on to the next group, blow them up, etc. By the time you get back, they'll be spawned. Blow them up again, move on while they spawn more, etc.

Keep working up your ap/dp. The loot becomes better with each little upgrade. I felt so slow compared to Kiren and NYX when I was grinding. Each little upgrade will help the speed
The advice to keep moving made a huge difference in my trash loot I was doing each guy individually, and it slows you down - I wasted hours before I took Kirun’s advice and went mob to mob

This advice also applies to Tungrad Ruins when you get there. Occasionally a big doofy Puturum spawns in the air and lots of little dudes start spawning, just leave em, rotate on around and nuke them on the next pass.

Also, it might be good to math it out. Even though you need the Despairs, it might be more cost effective to move on and buy the Despairs with the money you could be pulling at the next spot. Alternatively, you could always do what I did, just ignore everything and move into Hystria (or Pila Ku/Sulfur) for a few hundred hours to grind compass or map parts. The incidental money and drops are pretty good. I made respectable money doing Dekhia Hystria (and got enough spare Vodkhan pieces to get a headstart on the telescope)

Already at 192 despairs, so I'll finish it up before I do anything else. 4 extra DP should be very handy when I want to move to Dekhia Thornwood or Hystria. I'm still keen on finishing the La Orzeka costume and getting the compass. I run my max seasonal characters in Hystria and Thornwood for fun and profit.

Still haven't gotten past 15k trash in Hexe yet, rotating as soon as the Witmirth spawns/powers up doesn't seem to increase anything. Pretty odd tbh.
