Initially, I was concerned about the time constraints, but it doesn't sound like it's prohibitive.

Several other games have tried (and failed) to do it well, but for this game it sounds like each day will be the close of a 'mini chapter' of which you have control of the timeframe.

I'm sure there will be warnings that inform you that doing x or y will move the clock forward.

TL;DR I genuinely doubt the clock is anything to worry about.

I really liked the day timer in fallout 1. It made me carefully consider travel, but i could sperg out forver on a map

I also enjoyed games that had timers. They force me to let go of OCD and just play. I'm trying to think of all the games I've played like this, so far pathfinder kingmaker, persona 3 and Zelda majoras mask?

Xcom 2 war of the chosen had a timer. I mean, it didnt really mean anything when you figured out how to beat it back when it ticked up, but it definitely gave you that excitement and urgency that the game is almost over if you dont.

Dying Light had an awesome day/night mechanic that made the game better than it would have been otherwise. It could be a benefit if implemented correctly. It could also be awful.

Was dying light 2 any good? I really enjoyed the first one, and I don't even think I played the expansions, but it was a pretty fun game and you're right the day night cycle was a pretty fun mechanic.

This is going to sound weird, but I think it was pretty good and I played it a ton; but I cannot remember a single fucking thing about it. I am now remembering the story was unengaging and I did not feel like I cared about the protagonist; however, the game itself was fun. I think I'm going to replay it now.

Just remember watching a few review videos after it came out because I was at least keeping an eye on it after having enjoyed the first one, and everything I had seen had indicated it was kind of lackluster. I think there's also just melee weapons or something Goofy, and everything was just a big faction grind.

I just never picked it up because it didn't look as novel as the first game, but figured I'd trust guys on the forum more than some reviewer making money off their YouTube BS.

It was good, the parkour is on point and they added more ways to move around. The dungeon crawl at night mechanic was fun and the weapons were all fun to use. The 2 faction thing was dumb though, pick one and it locks you out of the other so you can miss a bunch of gadgets or weapons depending on which one you choose.

story was good enough, but running away from the big bads will remain the highlight.

Cool. Maybe I'll pick it up on those summer sale this year for 5 or 10 bucks or whatever the hell it'll be.

Gator Gator and I played it Coop and it was a blast. Never finished it. Now that it also works on PS 5 Pro I'll go through it again from the start and actually complete it. After Stellar Blade and Hogwartz but by then I know I will be side tracked forever with Monster Hunter Wilds.

I remember it being just a little better than the first one in pretty much every way.

They changed some things about the day/night cycle to actually make it worth it to go out at night instead of just being a hassle where it makes a lot more sense to just run back and sleep in a bed or whatever it is you did to pass time
