Was dying light 2 any good? I really enjoyed the first one, and I don't even think I played the expansions, but it was a pretty fun game and you're right the day night cycle was a pretty fun mechanic.Dying Light had an awesome day/night mechanic that made the game better than it would have been otherwise. It could be a benefit if implemented correctly. It could also be awful.

Just remember watching a few review videos after it came out because I was at least keeping an eye on it after having enjoyed the first one, and everything I had seen had indicated it was kind of lackluster. I think there's also just melee weapons or something Goofy, and everything was just a big faction grind. This is going to sound weird, but I think it was pretty good and I played it a ton; but I cannot remember a single fucking thing about it. I am now remembering the story was unengaging and I did not feel like I cared about the protagonist; however, the game itself was fun. I think I'm going to replay it now.
It was good, the parkour is on point and they added more ways to move around. The dungeon crawl at night mechanic was fun and the weapons were all fun to use. The 2 faction thing was dumb though, pick one and it locks you out of the other so you can miss a bunch of gadgets or weapons depending on which one you choose. Was dying light 2 any good? Cool. Maybe I'll pick it up on those summer sale this year for 5 or 10 bucks or whatever the hell it'll be.It was good, the parkour is on point and they added more ways to move around. story was good enough, but running away from the big bads will remain the highlight.
Did you play breath of the wild? You can cook to your hearts content! Was dying light 2 any good? I really enjoyed the first one, and I don't even think I played the expansions, but it was a pretty fun game and you're right the day night cycle was a pretty fun mechanic.
No I don't have a Nintendo. I haven't had a Nintendo since the original NES, but it did have a friend or two that had the Super Nintendo.Did you play breath of the wild? You can cook to your hearts content!

I just never picked it up because it didn't look as novel as the first game, but figured I'd trust guys on the forum more than some reviewer making money off their YouTube BS.
I wouldn't call it outright bad but it was a major step down. Techland learned all the wrong lessons from the first one. In particular they looked at how little playtime there was at night and thought this meant they needed to completely neuter the nighttime experience for Dying Light 2. I'm one of those players who avoided night time like the plague but that doesn't mean I wanted it changed the way it was. Even the "baby's first nighttime " mission at the very beginning when you get sent out to recover a crate of the Antizin was an absolute trip and the other forced nighttime missions made Dying Light's night time one of the most memorable video game experiences ever despite how little I played it.Was dying light 2 any good?
It's been a long time since I played the first one but I remember really enjoying the hell out of it. I just watched some different reviews about the second and was apprehensive about picking it up even with it being on sale or something.I wouldn't call it outright bad but it was a major step down.
