Wasn't sure where to put this.

Here is what I'm looking for - some kind of software where I can open a pdf blueprint (for electrical) and make different markings (preferably 4+ symbols available). The cherry on top would be if the software could create a count for each different symbol.

I'm trying to get away from printing out blueprints for each potential job only to not get the job and wasting money.

Anyone have any ideas on this? It doesn't need to be blueprint specific software just something where I can open a PDF and make different marks on the page. A count of those markings would be fantastic

Are you just needing to do total counts on material for calculating bids or something? (like # of 1900 boxes, 4" extension rings, troffers, etc) Not sure if Visio/CAD can do that or not, I've never bothered trying with it.
