Bora-Bora

I didn't go to Bora Bora, but I just got back from Moorea, French Polynesia. From what I've heard, go to Bora Bora if you like touristy areas; go to Moorea if you like the untouched environment.

I don't know where you're coming from, but the plane ride is *awful*. Papeete only has one flight out and the airport is closed until close to flight time.

What's your budget? I *loved* the hotel I stayed at in Moorea. Expensive, but, it's absolutely breathtaking.

i've always wanted to go to bora bora as a teenager, but now i think there's not THAT much to do there an its sooooooo expensive to go and stay there. i'd prefer to spend less money and go see some of the islands in the Philippines, or spend even LESS money and go to Hawaii (not oahu if you want to get away from people).

The currency in French Polynesia is sooooooooooo fucked up. Everything is so expensive. 10k is quite a lot, though. I don't know Bora Bora, but, Moorea can get you far with that cha-ching.
