According to the local news radio yesterday (for whatever that's worth), blackhat was alive when they took him and he died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. If that's true then it's possible that blackhat would've lived if his brother didn't run him over.

Looks like its going to be federal charges in all likelihood and if it would be Mass/Boston they don't have the same resources AND there's no death penalty at the state level there.

No need. If he's convicted of federal crimes, even in Massachusetts, he can get the death penalty.

Yeah actually the stuff I was reading said even though with federal charges he CAN get capital punishment, history suggests he will not.

The getting shanked in prison thing is overblown. The child rapers and celebrities or high profile prisoners of any sort almost always get put in solitary for their own protection.

Yeah, whatever. I'd rather die. Which makes this a better punishment for him. Plus probably cheaper than death row and the endless decades of appeals billed to the government.
