It's hilarious that women actually believe THIS is why men don't want their partner to have had a large number of sexual partners. It couldn't be further from the mark.
It's as simple as the fact that men are territorial. It's fucking primal. If this were 10,000 years ago I would have bashed in the skulls of every man who had ever slept with my new partner, and drank the goo inside, then pee in a ring around the corpse. In modern times, I have to walk through the grocery store with my girl, when she spots an ex and they stop to have an innocent quick chat, or hell, even a smile/wave. Guess what? I STILL WANT TO DESTROY HIM. It's just the way it is. It's far more preferable to be with a woman who has had few sexual partners because this is far less likely to happen on a day-to-day basis.
It's not about Puritan bullshit. It's about caveman bullshit, and the desire to avoid having to suppress murderous jealous rage.
