Marriage has a lot to do with the legal system. The opening line from the article is literally about the legal system.

I don't typically agree with MRA's, but the whole custody/divorce system in most countries is completely fucked. The paternity system in the U.S. is particularly bad.

The rest is about vilifying male sexuality; and I agree with that too. But I just didn't disagree with you that it's been done to women (It has), which is why I brought up the marriage aspect of the article and not the male sexuality aspect. The whole vilifying male sexuality is just a lag between gender equality slowly happening, and reactionary forces now having to adjust.

The article talks about a lot of how institutions have been weighted with that kind of "men are the devil" ideological position. Marriage is one, school is another. Marriage is what the video spoke about specifically. It'sallof those things that are really just having a lot of young people say fuck it. I'm pretty sure men could deal with being called pigs or whatever; it's notjustthat though. In the end, male sexuality has (Historically) been vilified too; it's just that male power structures have allowed many men to not give a fuck. It's not really a big adjustment for the 90% of men who were susceptible to those social rules since the puritans made sex the devils work.

Which is exactly the point of the article. 3rd wave feminism has made dating/mating such an inauspicious activity, that men are opting out and doing other things with their time. The juice used to be worth the squeeze. It no longer is.
