Pointless, utterly pointless movie. No wonder why they tried to bury it on release. $357k worldwide take is all you need to know about this clanger of a movie.

Dinner in America was fantastic, I just watched it again recently. I will have to check this one out, I didn't even know it existed.

The missus and I watched this last night and it doesn't hold a candle to Dinner in America. Pretty disappointing really.

Had a good vibe and really well made movie, scenes looked beautiful and the performances were really great.

But somehow the movie felt just kinda dumb to me. Kyle Gallner’s character was supposed to be charismatic and worldly but he was so basic and his “philosophy” made no sense. Samara Weaving was great but her turn seemed dumb. Show me how to con straight to robbing banks? Everything was so well thought out except nothing was thought out? I’ll honk when I hear the police scanner go off? That’s the brilliant plan? Same wig, hot outfits? I mean cool I guess.

Let’s go to Paris! Sure, but we’ll need to hit the big banks! Same exact plan, nothing changes, literally they just do the same thing but at a taller bank.

Well-crafted, well acted, but I found myself bored and unable to check in to the story and the characters just didn’t make sense to me.

Loved Dinner in America a lot. That might have hyped my expectations for this one too much. It’s a fine movie but tis no barn English.
