Yeah that's the wrong move.

He just needs to say that he fucked up as a teenager taking shortcuts and excepts higher levels of scrutiny until he earns trust back.

Then keep saying that and keep playing drama free for a few years. He could even turn it into a positive by having loads of cameras on his online play and playing naked etc to get some twitch cash.

He's literally an admitted cheater. All this is going to do is a paint a spotlight on that. Judge probably won't even let this get to a jury before ruling against him for being a shithead. Not sure what he's up to with that.

This story is getting hilarious/sad. Anyone with a good elementary knowledge of statistics knows that in a large enough dataset you will expect to find strings of events that would be unlikely in isolation. As if it weren't already obvious that Hikaru doesn't cheat, Kramnik keeps doubling down, demanding apologies from everyone, and is now even denying that he was pointing fingers at Hikaru.

It's all reminiscent of arguing with people about Blood Bowl who simply cannot understand that rolling 1s on 3 dice in a row is actually NOT that rare at all.

Plus there's the obvious fact where you can literally watch Hikaru play probably 98% of his games if you so desired. He's just a boomer who doesn't understand the Internet.
