Recolors are somewhat rare. Common enough that you can do a little bit of experimentation, but rare enough that you still want to eventually focus a character on certain stats.

Luminas are similar. I basically add them to the characters I use a lot and only in the amounts needed for adding a powerful new Picto effect. I usually "wear" the more expensive ones and fill in with the cheaper stuff.

Most of these really dumb setups require the Cheater picto (two turns always), as a few of the pictos require you to set your health to 1 for the < 10% health damage bonus pictos to kick in, which you arent getting before A3

I had like 20 resets without buying any off the vendors so plenty to screw around with.

Lumina isn't that rare, but if you want to really juice all 5 characters you'll have to farm some. I've got like 300 points into my main 3 without issues or any extra farming.

I believe they were asking about when/if the damage cap would lifted.

Nah if you do everything you get plenty. The journal dude in gestral market gives you like 100 alone and there are tons of ways to get them without grinding.

interesting, do you need all the journals for that? this, the music and the gestral mini game achievements are all im really missing and dont really want to do them lol

i've just been farming the merchant fight in renoir's draft over and over since its a gauranteed 1-3 lumina and 1-3 grandiose catalysts + 16k chroma

If you want all 100 yes, but it's incremental so you can get stacks of 20 per set number of turn ins. There is another quest that gives up to 100 as well with the white nevrons.

The gestral beach zones are fun!

Interesting, i'll probably eventually do them but im not in a rush

I hated the volleyball game, so i dont really want to go back to it hah

It's pretty easy to hit 9999 in Act 1, which makes the meta multi-hit attacks until you beat the final Act 2 boss and get a Picto to break cap. At a low lumina cost of 5 points. As soon as I was able to go past the cap I was seeing numbers like 30k without changing my build at all. Then you can start stacking modifiers and shit go crazy.

Doing the optional chromatic bosses before Act 3 is kinda just punching yourself in the dick but it makes for good dodge and parry practice I guess.

act 2 down couple days ago, just flying around killing stuff currently. It is good times, I think "The Crow" is the strongest boss I was able to beat so far and up to stage 1 level 5 of the endless tower. need more 10-20 weapon upgrades to try out some different builds but so far extra burn stacks+burn on crit turns anyone into the DoTs of death very quickly. Shit procs for over 60K so far.

Do you only get one picto to increase over 9999? Any way to give it to everyone in the party or get the entire party over 9999? Some of these bosses while roaming around in Act 3 clearing things have massive amounts of HP.

Ut I think you don't understand how pictos or luminas work. Pictos themselves are accessories with stats (limit 3), and lumina are the skills you unlock by using them, which anyone can equip an unlimited amount of based on their point budget (the Lumina number on the lower right of equip screen).

Equip a picto on someone, win 4 fights. That unlocks the lumina skill for everyone.

You can tell if a picto is unlocked by how many sides around the icon are lit up. One part of the square for each fight won, full gold border = unlocked.

^ Two fully unlocked, anti-burn at 25% and energising rush has never been used.

You can "learn" pictos that are fully unlocked, but they cost Lumina points. You get the abilities on them for "free" if they're equipped, but then you're obviously limited to only that character getting it for "free".

I was very happy you only need to unlock it on one character, i assumed you had to unlock each picto passive on each character similiar to how Lost Odyssey did it
that was a relief lol

The act 2 ending was a long ass ride and damn that escalated quickly. Not sure I fully understood all of it. Might have to revisit some spoliers video when I finish the game.

Where do you get the currency for lvl 20 weapons? And also where to farm the stuff up to 19?

You just unlocked a lot of new locations. Fly around some. I read that regular enemies in NG+ will drop upgrade mats up to 32 BUT don't rush to finish the game.

You can only get mats to max out 5 weapons per playthrough from optional bosses. The final upgrade changes one of the scalars to S rank and doubles the base attack.

Is act 3 basically free roam finding optional areas/quests to level up before you go for Lumiere?
