He was my neighbor from December till May. Just sad I couldn't stick around long enough to see him do some really crazy shit. Contrary to legend, he actually pays people to mow his grass and not graze it down personally.

Company provided me with the house. I had offers of upwards of a $1,000 to hang another universty flag on my house just to see if I got my ass beat.

The NCAA needs to be disbanded! Makes no sense that Johnny Manzial can do all online classes and that's ok with the NCAA but send a paper to your tutor via email and get suspended. Academic standards at most the schools are a joke.

Just get rid of the NCAA and go back to pre 1956 rules

You sure? I think the guy is wearing a number that is in the 80s, so he's either a WR or a TE, no wonder he can't block.

Well, basketball splitting in half could still be something like ~100 schools in the top division, and toss the other 240ish to a lower division.

And while I believe that in college football, a lot of teams can beat a lot of others in any given 1-game sample size, but throw Cinci and UCF into the SEC or Big10 or whatever power conference and they are middling bowl-eligible teams most years. They aren't approaching double-digit wins most years by any means. Sure they could hang in the big conferences, but not at the level of success they have recently experienced. I feel the same way about Boise St, even though they even won some BCS bowl games, they aren't even getting the chance to play in a BCS bowl game if they are in the Pac12, they aren't ripping off 50 wins in 4 years in a good conference. TCU has experienced this phenomenon first hand, and the B12 is arguably the weakest of the remaining "power conferences". After only losing 1 conference game in 4 years prior to joining the Big12, they've gone 4-5 and 2-7 in their 2 years since joining. BIG difference.
Problem for UCF is even if they did move to the ACC or SEC, the talent pool for the state is already devoured by FSU, UF, and Miami. While I'd love for my school to be a perennial top 15, I just don't see it happening any time soon. Getting lucky every now and then with big time talent is great and all, but it's incredibly hard to compete with the type of talent that the other three schools have been putting out over the last 10-15 years. I'm still pissed the Bucs passed on Brandon Marshall the year he got drafted (in the 4th round no less) since I saw him play extremely well at UCF with sub-par quarterback talent. Blake Bortles on the other hand has gotten all the recognition, it's just time to see if he can do well in the NFL with an organization that, while seemingly committed to doing the right things, has been terrible for a very long time. When he starts, whenever that might be, we'll see if he was worth the high draft pick.

Wow, USC's captain kicked off the team before the first snap of the season. The Sarkisian era is off to a good start. Buddy of mine that played at UCLA had the best response:

"Good news Trojan fans! In honor of team captain and Palmdale hometown hero Joshua "The Lifeguard" Shaw the first 10,000 USC fans inside the Coliseum this Saturday will receive a free life preserver! Swim safe and save a life! Save On!!!"

Goddamn, why is the A&M vs South Carolina game on so freaking early tonight? 5PM central time. I'm going to have to haul ass home from work and still might miss the kickoff.

Yeah that makes no sense to me at all... I already hate Thursday night games anyway, but to make it no prime time? Really?? This should have been on Saturday in my personal opinion.

Apparently the SEC network primetime game (8pm) is Vanderbilt vs Temple. WTF, those should have been switched.
