I love it here and it sucks after a loss because everyone is depressed and no one shows up at bars, etc... But talk radio is awesome.

I guess that's one upside to playing ranked teams for the opener like Wisconsin, Oregon etc...At least if we lose it's against a ranked team.

The owner of the company I work for has his name on a building at LSU. It's a small business, his son is taking over and is a graduate of LSU. His daughter now owns 1/2 the company with his son and she graduated from LSU. Her husband is a graduate of Arkansas. I almost feet bad for the guy at work considering there are 15ish of us in the office, he has no place to escape and he hears about it 24/7 at work and then has to put up with it on the weekends from his brother in law/father inlaw (as well as during work) and at night from his wife. Of course marrying into an insanely rich family probably takes the edge off. I've known his wife all my life, when I went to work for them the first thing she did was to tell me I would get a bigger bonus if I gave her husband more shit during work about Arkansas.

He was excited when I first met him and went to work there when he found out I didn't go to LSU. Then he found out I was "one of them" he looked pretty deflated.

Considering the line was -27, I'll take being down by 3 at half. At least they're playing hard, which is something they didn't do at times last year. Offense was moving the ball pretty well, but couldn't put in touchdowns. Hopefully we can keep playing tough the second half, even if we lose I can deal with that.

Officiating hasn't been good - and by that I mean Alabama has benefited from some shitty calls.

Would like to see us run more zone read and wear down you guys.

Alabama has the Brady-complex, even the slightest notion of a penalty and they always get a flag to their benefit...

They should just flag every play, "roughing the passer" just for the possibility that it could happen. Yep, sounds good!

There have been 2 or 3reallybad ones. That pass interference down the left sideline (deep ball), and the unneccessary roughness on the sideline being the two that I can think of.

I also realized that we didn't do the College Football Fantasy thing or whatever (where you pick rosters week to week). Who dropped the ball on that one?

Yeah the two you mentioned were the worst - especially when our DB did basically the same thing in the end zone earlier with no call. I want the win, but hate the officials contributing in any way.

Hope WVU is as good as they've looked.

I used to have a youtube video of LSU playing Alabama one year and not only did they get the close calls but several times the refs marked the penalty short. They got like (3) 4 yard penalties that game. Just the bad calls took 5 minutes to show.

Well I cant be too upset, we played them tough. Dropped several balls that could have been the difference, and despite a couple poor calls which really didn't make us lose this team looks a whole lot better than it did last year.
