TCU leading Oklahoma and northwestern leading Wisconsin. Please let them finish out that way

edit - and Ole Miss just tied it up with Alabama with 5 minutes to play in the 4th

With every game that passes, the more I think strong won't work here. He is a bad gameday coach.
I think he'll do fine overall. This year is all about the growing pains (the suspensions and setting player expectations). Once he gains the respect of the players and gets them into shape (physically, mentally, and skill), I think they will be great. This mediocre year was to be expected.

The downside is now recruiting. Do players want to go to a rebuilding school or a school that is already good-to-go (T A&M)? You'll need to convince these recruits and get them onboard with these new expectations and coaching style. This isn't the "you can do anything such as nearly commit murder but still play becaue its football heritage" Texas anymore

I expected them to lose a bunch of games but be competitive. Having the worst offense in D1 is unacceptable. Our qb doesn't even flash ability other than having a strong arm he has no control over. He isn't the answer. So we aren't building towards anything other than being shitty next year too.

Also, more alarming, is all the shit Strong has fucked up during games.

I know the vast majority of the board hate Notre Dame, but the game with them and Stanford has been great. ND just went up with 1 minute left

2(Oregon) already lost, 3(Bama) is going to lose, only 30 seconds of clock for Ole Miss to run out, and 4(Oklahoma) is still trailing by 4 with 4 minutes to play, and #6(A&M) already lost I'd love to see all of them go down. Watch out later tonight #5 Auburn

Well, OU's defense gave the Offense three times to try and bail out from the oskie and they came up with nothing. That's how you lose on the road. Foggy, your team definitely has a chance next week after the way your D played today and the shitshow that is the OU offense.

Since I'm not talking smack about my team today can I post this? I tried talking some friends into wearing this for the Bama game which is at home this year....

I have some UK fan friends that are adamant that they will pull off an upset tonight against South Carolina... Can't say I've laughed as hard. They just beat their first SEC in years the other week

Just back from the Notre Dame game. They bloody won the shit out of that game. I know the score was close, but add in the two missed field goals (which were likely missed due to weather, holy crap that cold, wet ball had to be slippery, and it was the spotter that fucked them up), and it turns into a much more comfortable win. That's a solid win against a ranked team. I think Notre Dame is pretty good.

Though the receivers dropped a lot more than they should have. If the receivers get up to speed, the offense is going to be excellent, and the defense showed they can step up tonight, too.

So, #2, 3, 4 lost, there were other upsets, too. The rankings will be a bloody mess. Who knows who sits where next week? It does my heart good to see Alabama lose.

A win is a win for Baylor, but if they play like that next week, TCU will kill them. Offense was shit the first 3 quarters and got BAILED out by good D and a shitty UT offense. UT is a minimum 3 year project. I hope to God the alums at UT put enough pressure on the AD to get Strong fired before he can get it turned around and continually be in rebuilding mode forever. OU game was interesting to watch the end, but I still think until Baylor goes to Norman and plays them in November, OU is still the best team in the Big 12. Baylor must prove otherwise on the field and not a second before.

And to complete the FOH College Football talking points, polls suck a dick. Anyone want to take bets on how many 1-loss teams the AP puts ahead of Baylor (and ND jumping ahead of Baylor is assumed at this point because Touchdown Jesus) given the carnage this weekend? I'll be SHOCKED if Baylor ends up top 5.
