Just imagine how bad Notre Dame's offense would have looked if Bosa didn't get ejected or if Washington wasn't too busy finding lot lizards. If Notre Dame didn't have so many bloody injuries that would have been a different game. I'm not saying they would have won necessarily, but the defense for the Irish looked like absolute shit, and that's due to injuries. Something like 8 players from the defensive line out with injury. That's a shame.
Also, I hate Alabama.
If they are going to stick with the limited playoffs I would rather go back to the old bowl game layout. Let times get invited to a bowl for a good matchup regardless of record. There was no interest in LSU playing Texas Tech, who really gave a shit? I would have rather seen them play a team with a worse record that created some interest. The only reason it had good ticket sales it was 4 hours away in the city with the highest LSU alumni population. We could have had this playoff:
1) Clemson vs
8) Notre Dame
4)Oklahoma vs
5) Iowa
3)Michigan St
6)Stanford
2)Alabama
7)Ohio ST
Then you likely still end up with a Clemson-Oklahoma semifinal, but an Alabama-Stanford semifinal on the other side. And those games would have happened last weekend, and we'd be watching the national championship today or tomorrow
Been pretty much blowouts and some being laughably bad. Overall been fairly boring to watch, some great highlight reel plays, but no suspense or close games to make them enjoyablePretty terrible games across the board today. I guess we just have to hope that Clemson puts up some sort of fight against Alabama now? None of the other games seem interesting at all.
