Anyplace to get a sampler of just the spicebomb series? I liked the black stuff, but i see metallic, red, and night vision versions.
You'll probably need to get decants. I did a quick search and unable to find any official sampler that has more than 2 options.

I'd have to re-try them, it's like 20 different ones. Was spritzing a toilet paper square and huffing them. Even at the best of times, I'm somewhat nose blind, lots of CS gas and nose bleeds as a kid I suspect I'm scarred up a bit in my nose, I handle homeless people etc better than most at work unless it's full shitty pants.
Toilet paper square definitely doesn't help. I feel using real fragrance test strips or a medium-ply piece of paper does make a difference. I have absolutely no scientific backing but anything with somewhat high absorption rate like toilet paper I feel would really kill a scent.

Immensely popular, but it's for a reason.

My recent pickups.

1. Huge Boss 'Bottled Absolu' - One of my favorite scents i've ever smelled. My smaller bottle was getting low so ordered a larger bottle. Absolutely incredible fragrance and lasts forever (you only need 2 sprays). Easily one of my top cooler/colder weather scents! Hits way above its weight class (price), just needs a slightly better atomizer.

2. Palisade (inspired by: Mind Games 'Blockade') - Smells like a mango Aventus. Great everyday scent for spring/summer, maybe early fall. I prefer Aventus however the price difference is huge.

3. London (inspired by: Widian 'London') - Will be an incredible date night or nighttime wear, mainly in cooler/colder months. Needs some sitting time from what I heard to really bring it out (simmers down the leather). Have never smelled the original, this was a blind-buy but I am not disappointed in the least. The raspberry definitely makes this a unique smell, but in a very good way.

4. Sicilian Tobacco (inspired by: Xerjoff 'Naxos') - Incredible... I prefer this slightly over the original. Original is blended a little better but I like the notes better in the Montagne (more honey/sweetness). This is definitely a more unisex fragrance, leaning a a little bit more masculine though. The price difference between this and the OG is an added cherry on top!

Any suggestions for modestly priced (i.e. not overpriced) services that let you try a variety of scents? I'd like to try some of the suggestions in here. Is Scentbird good? See ads for it all the time.

I hate the descriptions that read like one, this smells like everything, what's your laymans description of the smell? Have that spicebomb on the way, but like everything I OCD, kinda thinking about a 2nd scent. Tried the sampler of givenchy i think it was gentlemans society, did smell good once I reached the restaurant though didnt blow me away.

Many kinda men/womens you can think of that wouldn't make me smell like a fag but are a bit more lavender/floral ish? Not sure the ultra musky stuff while I like it will cause complaints at work. That mango sounds interesting, it's me favorite like drink flavor etc.

Looking ahead at getting a couple summer scents for variety since it stays hot for so damn long here. Want to go fruity/tropical.

Vulcan Feu seems like a fine blind buy. Was also trying to find something ideally with pineapple, tried cedare boise, aventus, polo 67 edt. All good scents but none of them quite fit the bill, 67 had the longest lasting pineapple. Next up is to try the jpg le beau line.

Some of these may fit what you are looking for. I encourage you to just go to an Ulta Beauty or Sephora and try some of these (and then buy from a discounter online, screw buying fragrances in stores). I feel Lavender fragrances tend to be more 'soapy' in smell, orange blossom scents are my preferred floral (sweet, bright, and have a 'zing' to them).

Dulce & Gabbana 'Pour Homme'
YSL 'Myslf' (EdP or Parfum; good orange blossom and floral notes. I enjoy wearing these a lot)
Xerjoff 'Naxos' (or the clone I mentioned above; definitely has levender)
Prada Luna Rosso 'Ocean' (maybe?) or 'Carbon'
Amouage 'Reflection Man'
You may like some of the JPG (Jean Paul Gaultier) fragrances.
Valentino 'Born in Roma Intense' for a colder weather scent (vanilla & lavender)

Pineapple, citrus, or fruity smells with a wide range of prices:

Afnan 9PM Rebel
JPG Le Beau (Le Parfum is my choice and more pineapple but may be too cloying for hot weather; Le Beau EdT being more light and sweet for more everyday wear)
Aventus (as you mentioned; but i'd get clones from Afnan or my clone choice is still Montagne; Montblanc 'Explorer' is a good choice for a designer brand that is Aventus-like )
Polo 67 (EdP if you liked the EdT but want 'more')
Montblanc ('Legend' is kinda fruity)
Versace Eros
Chanel Allure Edition Blanch
Louis Vuitton 'Pacific Chill' & 'Afternoon Swim' (expensive but these are super popular for a reason)
Valentino 'Coral Fantasy' (may fit the bill)
Xerjoff 'Monkey Special' (more for nighttime or cooler days; not office friendly though)
D&G 'Light Blue Pour Homme'
Mind Games 'Blockade' (nice and fruity mango with a good dry-down of wood and amber)

Creed 'Virgin Island Water' definitely hits the hot weather/tropical/beach scent. Downside is it either smells like coconut sun screen on some people or it smells amazing (boozy, salty, vanilla coconut) on others.

But also picked up this, which is actually kinda hilarious given the ufo thread. 😉

Really enjoying the notes both of these hit with warm yet subtle vanilla tones and citrus.

For anyone looking for a last minute gift for the least annoying woman in their life;

Roses Musk - this one brings a very soft sweetness, noticeable for hours without being too strong after the first few minutes. Out of all the perfumes she has I like this one the best.

- i don't like it as much as the one from Montale, but it is a good 2nd.

Am using https://www.iciparisxl.be/nl/hermes/terre-dhermes/parfum/p/BP_469256. Great perfume and the atomizer seems very good also.
