So that probably means it wasn't woke or gay enough and is probably a safe buy.
Nah I read their review so far. Story is laughably bad and there are game breaking bugs.So that probably means it wasn't woke or gay enough and is probably a safe buy.
One thing that sounds inferiorating, if you die to a boss, you have to start again at the beginning of a cut scene and it's unskippable.... Why do people do this?
So basically exactly what I figured.Combat:
Combat in Crimson Desert is outstanding. I would not have waded through so many of the campaign's more frustrating sticking points if it wasn't for the fact that going into battle is pure fun. I played the entire game with a sword and a shield, which are Kliff's bread and butter. He has a range of moves, from the natural magic of Force Palm to the more grounded ability to dropkick his enemies off cliffs. Once the combos start to become natural, the combat is fluid and satisfying. It's the best I've ever experienced in an open-world game, and I'm not even sure the competition is close.
That reminds me of the original Xenogears that had a 20+ minute unskippable cutscene before a major boss fight. Took me like 10 tries on that shit and I would just let it run and walk away until the fight started. Such nostalgia! One thing that sounds inferiorating, if you die to a boss, you have to start again at the beginning of a cut scene and it's unskippable.... Why do people do this?

I mentioned it a few weeks ago, but that Morning Light expansion a few years ago was the worst. Just constant running around for story you didn't care about so you could actually play. Seems like they designed an entire game around the concept. So basically exactly what I figured.
Tell me you've never played BDO without telling me you've never played BDO.
Then you'll be happy to know they made a Pt. 2 for the LoML story!!I mentioned it a few weeks ago, but that Morning Light expansion a few years ago was the worst. Eh, maybe? For BDO, it would depend on class by class and whether you would need to focus on survival or not. For CD, there seems to be Trash Combat and Boss Combat, very different difficulty scaling going on.I put a few days into Black Desert. Combat hits hard and feels visceral/fun at first, but it's super spammy with way too many abilities. Nothing stood out... every move felt equally interchangeable, so I never got that sense of mastering the system or a truly cohesive flow. Sort of sounds like CD is the same?
