Anyone know how the Stats page works? The Attack stat on Gloves and Boots have ZERO effect on overall shown stats, also any Attack, Attack Speed and Crit Chance gears you place in Gloves and Boots have ZERO affect while using a Weapon. They apparently only apply to Unarmed combat. The Defense stat listed properly shows your total Defense from armor/accessories.

ok so I've opened literally every one of the books/items THREE times and I still have an '!' over knowledge. Is this common? I don't like unread entries.

Also I am getting unhealthy EQ vibes from this game, like it's as addictive as EQ. It's like EQ and Elden Ring had a baby with more interaction and a better engine and less assholes to deal with online.

100%. I'm 50 hours in and this game is taking over my life. Just keeps getting better and better. Every thing I do seems to unlock multiple new things I want to try or explore. Seems endless, but I'm hooked.

Thankfully I have a business trip coming up, so I'll be forced to take a bit of a cooldown. This is getting a bit unhealthy.

Is this playable with a controller? I know there were lots of complaints initially, unclear if recent patches fixed this stuff.

I think I’m gonna stay the path of my backlog and come back to this come fall. What a weird game watching reviews and reactions. I haven’t found anyone on my friends list playing. Yet I see a lot of conversation. Reviews whatever but typically greatness is recognized. 8/10. Not the 9.8 that ER nabbed. Such a polarizing game. It’s also a comically weak year for games that I can see.

Yeah I feel like there's a great game here, but maybe appeals to a certain type of player. Not sure if I'm it.

I’m never going to leave the first area it seems, stuff keeps popping up. My camp is almost done I think, started the missions for the farm and ranch.

I wonder if the other zones have this much content because at this point, this is almost ridiculous…in a good way.

One of my personal measuring stick for how good a game like this is, is when you start playing thinking you’re going to do something and on your way to do it, you get distracted and you end your play session not accomplishing your goal but had a blast anyways. This certainly qualifies.

It’s a never ending pit of stuff to do. Now I did Monster Hunter World type of gameplay with hunting a Legendary Beast, not sure if they all work the same way but it was basically track it then fight, it runs away, track it again fight it and kill it.

Anyone tried modding this game? I saw on a gaming site I follow a mod that's supposed to help 'fix' the camera. I don't want to fiddle with this game and then an update break my save.

That video Daidraco Daidraco posted above made me go back to the 1st town and steal my ass off. Although who am I kidding, I haven't left the starter town. I am having a blast. I'm still fighting the controls but they are starting to make more sense. I for damn sure am not going to play another game until I am done with this one. It would just confuse me more.

I would've loved precise jump in Elden Ring. Any of the jumping puzzles in ER felt like playing QWOP

This is the easiest jumping puzzle in any game ever, but in Elden Ring it's a complete ball buster.

Incoming cool story bro:
I was one of the first in the world to find that place naturally, couldn’t believe how deep it was. I know this because there were almost zero player markers and bloodstains. All my parkour days in DS3 prepared me and I made it down second try.

So Crimson desert…buy or wait? Still seems like a buggy mess, things like grab a ledge and get sent to the shadow realm to then plummet to your death, makes me uninstall quickly.
