Well.....Just had my first hard crash. It locked Win 11 completely in black screens. I could still hear the music but nothing would respond. Had to Power down and turn off the PSU to get it to boot back up. It's too late for me now. Hope it didn't ruin my save. Guess I'll see tomorrow.

Killed Red Mist thing, did 2nd expansion on our base. At least I did before it all locked up.
I had one crash. But have alt-f4 once too (bugged quest myself by being scatterbrained and immediately selling quest item to a trade goods vendor (they don’t have buyback:emoji_nose:. Both times reloaded to the last quest checkpoint i had done but not completed. Only difference was that it loaded it to the closest teleporter and not where I was when the checkpoint happened. So don’t think you can ever lose much progress on a crash, autosave system works well.

got these one off encounters of sorts.
at rocco hill while clearing the bandits, there was a cart with an oversized full golden armor strapped onto it and it just ran off, never seen it again.

another one was some rando camp down south and one bandit was riding a rooster, after defeating the riding bandit the giant rooster ran off too. what gives?

Ok. So I've basically been logging into the game and doing everything and anything in Hernand. I had to let some time pass in-game and couldnt sleep so I figured I would go back to upgrading equipment instead of random_quest_01 - since things had gotten beefier on the outskirts of that particular zone. I knew in the back of my head that my gear was not "BIS" so I took it upon myself to 1. Go farm the worlds Gold supply, track down Nexus TP spots near them and pick up the easily obtained BIS gear like the Lightning Necklace.

Side Rant About Focused Force Palm:
As I get to the first node, I realized after googling why I couldnt break the ore wall - that I hadnt gotten focused force palm. When I cleared the quarry all this time ago, I remembered the wall that I had to get through and couldnt and when I googled that - I read that I couldnt until I got that ability and that ability wasnt available until part of chapter 4. Well I'm almost done with 5 and Ive been putting that off because the warning to not go into the later chapters without upgrading Damiane's gear. How did I miss getting Focused Palm when I went through there? Oh.. because I climbed the mountain to get the bounty.

Apparently a LOT of people did this. I go there, and then had to google how to get the ability and.. Im standing there, completely clueless about where this ghost was because it didnt match any video. After reading more about it - I realized its on the OTHER side of the wall. ... The whole time Im thinking - Why on Gods Green Earth didnt they put this ability earlier in the game? Like BEFORE the quarry? Oh.. because the transport piece is in there and you wouldnt be able to get it without the Kuku pot or w/e. Fine, cool. Got it now - but everything Ive seen about this piece is irrelevant now.. because there is a literal transport at the camp now, without building it. Maybe I'll use it later, whatever. That spots 100% done now I guess.

So as Im going to these places to get all of this gold.. I'm hitting all the closest ones to Hernand first, going up north - really cool areas. The sand neggers that basically darken your whole screen while theyre chasing you is some epic shit. Loved that. Then you come up on these OBVIOUS boss battle areas and I wish they would flag on the map as some sort of Icon, even after discovering them, that a boss was there so you could remember to go back to them easily.

Swing up to the very north, grab some diamonds while Im around that town - get the bell.. and the bell (really pretty bell tower btw)?.. Did I miss the Poro video or something? Like the northern town's bell revealed all of jack and shit? At least I dont think it revealed much - I dont see a bell tower in the jungle so.. I guess it doesnt have one? As I run down through the jungle on the far east side - I finally see the train in the beginning areas. That was cool and I remember seeing that in a video. The different biomes are just fucking epic. The variety of Monsters and NPC types in this game is just.. amazing. Confused by the western half of Demeniss being amicable in relationship, to the eastern half being straight hostile? Also, Demeniss's eastern half seems to know how to fuck shit up with Guns 10 fold compared to the rest of the game. But Demeniss seems like Hernand in Biome, but with notes of Pailune stuck in it (Mostly Western Medieval theme, with notes of Eastern Theme).

After I got the next to last gold node, I bee lined it to the last one in Delesyia. HOLY FUCK.. what in the fuck is even going on in this little island of the world. Mechanical Bee's everywhere, basically fucking drones - lasers shooting little miniature rockets at my ass. I go over the hill and then a whole ant colony of fucking robots swarm my ass while the drones are shooting at me. Im swinging through that shit trying to survive future-ville and.. after I get out of their little area of influence, its like Im back in Hernand on the Eastern side. ... I honestly cant wait to get into that story and see what the fuck is happening. Lots of mining over on the western half and even if the story is different, at first glance it looks like a "We dug too deep" LOTR type shit.

But basically.. I learned so much more about the game yesterday and what is actually out there. Hernand is .. Its like Assassins Creed in a lot of ways. After you explore the rest of the game, Hernand just seems mundane by comparison. Peaceful almost. If that was their plan, then they hit that goal perfectly. It makes sense as a noobie area - but it kind of makes me wonder how the rest of the world, with the artillery, the robots, etc. How these neighboring countries havent just wiped out Hernand and Demeniss. Like.. whats holding them at bay? Pailune is just a straight up military stronghold and seems like it would make quick work of everyone but Delesyia. Crimson Desert in its theme, is pretty cool. Seems like some voice acting gets kind of "shoddy" in the place. But I can see why its a frontier place. Lots of bandits, and super powerful monsters/npc's. (They should have held off on naming the game Crimson Desert and stuck with a code name imo). Delesyia - if it wasnt for the buried, ancient world of Elon Musk fighting them - could easily wipe out the rest of the map.

TL;DR
If I could redesign the game in any type of way, I would strip that whole system of progression like Focused Force Palm and either let it be standard? Or put it in the beginning steps of the game. Second - I would take the player out of Hernand around chapter 3 at the latest and do a round the world tour that eventually brings the main character back home. The game should show you what all is out there, at a glimpse, so you dont actively want to stay in Hernand getting 100% completion (building up your Greymane fort, maxxing your factions because some of the faction stories are interesting, etc.) Not that that is a bad thing - but Im over here playing SimCity in Assassins Creed and the rest of the game is Skyrim and the Witcher.

A lot of the game feels like they had a team for each region and just let them go off and design the world on their own terms. Leaving player power, itemization, etc. down to a simplified system of Abyss Fragments that isnt tied to any one area of the game. It's actually, from a content perspective, a really smart design decision.

What I hope to see them fix in the future.

Being able to craft from the storage chest even if you limit that to the camp only.

Add path line to the mini map, so it's a bit easier to navigate the roads when going to an objectives. I don't want auto-path just having the path highlighted keep it to roads only too. I find it annoying to have to check my map all the time to make sure I take the right junction.

Please let me use the button that adjust the camera distance to bring up the map instead and put a slider in options for camera distance.

There's more but those would fix my biggest gripes right now.

I still cannot for the love of god figure out how to face palm those double sided spinny gates while your latching on to it. instead of moving to the other side i just bounce right off after palming.

Very excited if and when an expansion to this if ever release, the dev have too much ideas and perhaps a monster hunter wildhunt dlc could be fun.

also strangeness non of my camp mates want to hit on me or have some rainbow sausage fun, no wonder they wokes hate it!

Had no issues there. Some things need upgraded (focused) force palm though, maybe that is blocking you?

The MSQ does send you to every zone, and the Witch quest does as well. Sadly the Witch quest line doesn't feel that developed given its importance. Maybe there is a big lore dump after I kill this final big bad.

In regards to Damaine, her gear isn't really an issue. Its more of learning how to play her. Once you get to her part of the MSQ, you can run around doing your own thing (as Damaine), so you could respec and dump all the points into her skills. Then go fight stuff. After her section is done, just respec back into Kliff.

I would highly suggest unlocking the Research institutes in Scholostone, Pororin, Delesyia and Crimson Desert as you get to them. They offer very important upgrades.

I gave up on some puzzles and just tube it, those that have wierd symbols and ask you to go look at stuff on trees and mountains elsewhere and come back... for one abyss stone. I mean for all that effort feels like the reward could be alot more exciting. nevertheless the downside is missing out on exploring that intended local

I was not in the right state of mind to be going through Ch11, maybe if I had been in a better mood it would have been cool af, but no... it was complete trash and I'm not even done with it yet. Advice though for those not there yet... get the Kuku Bismuth Spear, it will make things less tedious.

I was just suggesting that .. like Elder Scrolls, with a wagon to each settlement, you could see the world and get around to unexplored places easily. Maybe send Kliff out on Messenger missions for Dukes about trade or w/e - but all before, or at chapter 3. Not late in the game. I stalled out on Atanumbra or w/e, a few days ago and just havent went back to kill him. But I did find the other witches in the world yesterday and get their quests started.

Good to know about Damaine. I have an obnoxious amount of resources from my Greymane camp thanks to all the bonuses from Conversion, Companionship, etc. So Ive been sending them in with me to clear BIG camps and thats somewhat helpful. I learned today I can also have her, or vice versa, if Im playing Damaine, help with those camps to. So Ill just swap over to her and learn to play her while Kliff murder hobos with the rest of the Greymanes.

I've already got the research started on everything. Was after the Crit armor yesterday, and found the sanctum for that - but not the sanctum for the upgraded pot thats in the way of that upgrade. But Im picking those off as I go. Have no idea what the root is for from the Scholar - but a lot of the scholar research is done already. Havent done much down at the Poro village, though I see that there are upgrades down there. Ill tackle that next time I play. Something about the "hibernia" style and adult kids.. just rubs me the wrong way. My lineage must be showing through that I hated the Celts.

I try puzzles a few times and if its not immediately obvious, I look it up. Games too big, and there is just too much stuff to do, to spend 30 minutes fucking with levers, dials, pillars, and whatever else. I just look up the Hidden stuff I want, too. Gear upgrades are just too time intensive to constantly be swapping to new pieces of gear because a new piece I got "looks better." WoW handled this kind of upgrade path a better way. In that once you level up a piece of gear you want, then anything else in that same slot has its upgrade costs significantly reduced. Or in other words, unless there is a way to strip out upgrade components and I just dont know about it - the system "feels bad man."

Which.. that reminds me. I dont even see the point in wearing Leather or Cloth outside of barbie doll dress up. The loss in defense is something like what.. 6% less than plate with leather. 12% less with cloth? I read that cloth, you move? evade? faster? And Leather has higher resistances? But.. is that all?

So i"ve pretty much stuck around the starting area. Getting the camp set up for the most part. I decided to go doing some looking around. Some 'pot' warriors and some dude that was made of crows just pushed my shit in hard. I think I'll stick to the missions from now on. They do not encourage exploration.

What I hope to see them fix in the future.

Being able to craft from the storage chest even if you limit that to the camp only.
you asked..and here you go:

■ New Specialized Storage
- Food storage: We plan to add a new food storage, from which you can directly take out ingredients for use in cooking. When preparing meals, you’ll be able to use ingredients from both your food storage and your inventory.
- Wardrobe: A new wardrobe storage will be added so that you can store your headgear, armor, gloves, footwear, and cloaks.
- Gatherables Storage: A new gatherables storage will be added, from which you can directly take out items for use in tempering and crafting. This storage will be able to hold a variety of crafting materials, including insects, stones, ores, and more.
- Collections Storage: A new Collection Storage will be added, giving you a place to keep quest items tied to your adventures, along with recipes and other items you've collected on your journey.

Well there's a couple of screenshots attached that are gif that show the difference. Looks pretty nice.

It's nice the game did well so they're spending time improving it, means when I finally buy it in 2027 or whenever I'll have a much nicer experience. Instead I'm playing games from ~10 years ago that have been on the backburner(about to finish Sekiro and grabbed Dragon's Crown Pro to replay that after).
