Some hot fixes went into this most recent patch. Fixed Natures Grasp stuff on Xbox Controller, etc.

In other news - This guys tweet (Halo Reach dev or w/e).. he complains about the Goblins and then everyone in the comments is gas lighting the fk out of him and I find it to be hilarious.

Saw that a couple weeks ago. Can’t believe he has left that up. What a fucking idiot lol

He was a producer or director for the original God of War franchise. Has since become a woke/dei lover with a trans kid.

Did PA nerf the crow guy in act 5? I pretty much curb stomped him after I chased him all over the land and sky.

They nerfed the weapon / abyss cell. The crows used to circle back to the caster and cause damage again, now they dont. Unsure if thats the case with the boss, but I would think so.

That's what a friend kept saying, "but there's so much stuff you can do!". Who the fuck cares if it doesn't have any meaning. I'm not that bored in life that I need a video game to give me pointless crap to do.

Yeah man. There was a time when I would have been really down for this. It sounds like a single-player EQ, which is exciting, and I'm still going to give it a try in a week once my vacation starts. But I'll say this, I'm mostly playing it to see how insane the visuals are on my new PS5 Pro and LG G5. At first I thought this might be the next Elden Ring but it seems more like it's the next BOTW (which I didn't like). At least it looks a lot nicer than BOTW. Still can't stand BOTW's washed-out visuals but I hear it is a lot better on the Switch 2.

Anyway, at this point in life, give me 20 hours of gameplay with a soul, over 80 hours of "content"

Even though he's a woke busybody looking for things to get "concerned" about, that Jaffe guy is kind of not wrong to make the observation that that's an on the nose depiction of a stereotype. Is it an intentional one or not is the question. Is he an anti-semite for noticing this? If someone sees something that resembles a minstrel show depicting black folk as big-lipped subhumans, and calls it out, are they the racist one for spotting the resemblance? I dunno, I feel like if that were the situation (black folk) people would be on his side, but since it's the group that's in-style to trash (Joos) people are just gaslighting him that there's nothing there.

All of that said, I don't give a fuck if this character is intentional or not. Big-nosed money-grubbers have a rich history in our fantasy media. Goblins in WoW, Ferengi in Star Trek, those bankers in the Harry Potter movies.

This game is absolutely nothing like EQ whatsoever. Other than they are both 3D. I’m confused how anyone could even come to this conclusion.

Also your statement at the end there is kind of contradictory to what this game is. You get a ton of content, and not much soul. The characters have zero personality and the ‘story’ is barely there and confusing. Are you reading a different thread?

Wot? That's literally what I'm saying in the statement at the end. That I prefer a short game with soul over a long game with a ton of content....and this seems like the latter, based on the thread.

And the EQ thing is largely based on... so many people in this thread mentioning EQ and that it's giving them the same "vibes" EQ did with exploration and being vast.

Wot?

The comments on this thread really are hilarious, people are letting this wokescold have it pretty hard:

The funniest part is the Koreans probably did do it on purpose, Koreans don't give a fuck.

Ok. I read the first section where you were saying you were going to try it then assumed the second section meant that was the reason why. My bad.

Yeah anyone saying this reminds them of EQ is reaching by a lot. Absolutely nothing like it. I guess if they just mean they can wander around to find random things but CD has so much more hidden and random things, and you can get absolutely anywhere you can see. There are so many other games that would be a better comparison for that. Any of the modern open world games would be better comparison than EQ. Hell even old open world games would be better.

Yeah if this had combat and bosses like Elden Ring? All over it. Assuming the controls were sane.

Hey Greymanes,
We’re currently preparing our next update which will include several features mentioned in last week's Dev Update notice, including the addition of a keyboard/mouse and controller preset, difficulty settings, category tabs for your inventory, and more. We want to take our time with testing and polishing things before we roll the patch out, which we expect to do sometime next week. Also, due to the distant scenery quality improvements we are adding in, this patch size will be larger than our previous ones. We hope you're looking forward to this update, and thanks for your patience and support!

Should be good! I wonder if that Will Powers guy is still working for PA.

Crimson Deserters, after much time and consideration, we here at Rajaah have decided not to pursue a playthrough of Crimson Desert with my time off. Too many other long-overdue things I could be getting to with that time instead. It seems like a cool game, though, and you can hit things with the RKO / Diamond Cutter which is bad-ass.

Thanks for the update, I was having trouble sleeping not knowing.

Honestly, I kind of wish they would redo a lot of the Achievements. If there is anything I feel like they dropped the ball on, its those. A game this big, and there are only 34 of them. Ton of them related to combat, and not the content themselves. With games like this, when its this huge open game world like this - I usually fall back to the achievements to give me some direction. Which, a few of them are like that. But they are just too general. Like give fewer achievement points per, and just do shit like "Clear ### sanctum" etc. for example.

Theres also a ton of shit that you'll never touch as a player if it doesnt grab you in its first pass, as in you dont find it interesting. Like the Wagon shit just seems awful to me - but if theres something fun, or super rewarding somewhere involving the wagon - I wouldnt know it. That involves trade, stealing the wagon, etc. If it all rewards silver - then I'm looking at it as just a huge waste of time when I can just go steal an apple off a critters head in less than 5 seconds. But if say, there was a wagon from the bottom right, to the top right of the map that rewarded like 3 gold bars or something... then that "might" be worth it?
