Don’t worry you will get used to the controls after 80 hours or so.

I read they patched in some controller remapping but I haven’t played since before that patch so no idea how well that fixes things.

I find it interesting to read the negative Steam reviews from players with 100+ hours under their belt. The common theme is: the game is an ocean wide and puddle deep. So it seems if exploration isn't your bag, this doesn't have much to offer.

Someone who changes their review from positive at 100h to negative at 200h should have a yellow flag on it. No one cares if you found X thing to be angry about after 200h.

Yeah I keep thinking I should go back and play again but I recall being very angry for 3 straight days as I could not get through 3 items in chapter 9 (I think) and said screw this. Perhaps I will go back , they sure seem to keep updating it. I read somewhere (maybe here) they are contemplating co-op.

The only way it’s acceptable to me is if they do a big game changing patch that completely fucks a game up. Hero siege, Star Wars galaxy, helldivers 2 etc.

It's entirely appropriate especially with this company who's entire design strategy is to fool you with large quantities of sub par content. In BDO they promise a lot "once you get to the end game". Guess what, end game can't be observed until you've spent 6 months playing.

The release date is the most surprising part tbh. Oct 15th is so soon, I thought they were showing something they were planning to release next year like in spring/summer or something. I wonder how much there really is in it but they showed ship combat, diving and housing so must be a decent bit at least.

This is on sale now, thinking about picking it up. Man I just really hate confusing/complicated control schemes, I really liked Dragon's Dogma though and I hear this is pretty similarish.

I picked it up - playing a few hours each night. Might be in a spot to buy the DLC Oct 15th. It's good overall. Frustrating in a few areas for sure, but overall the experience is positive.

It is a great game. The control setup won't be an issue as you play, and if you like it, you'll play for 100+hrs.

wtf. i put 180 hours in and stopped like halfway through the main story to wait on all the updates to be done. wasn't expecting what will probably be another hundred hour content drop in my already depressingly large backlog.
