CD PROJEKT RED Has Been Hacked, But Won't Give Into Ransom Request

CD PROJEKT has been hacked, the company announced this morning in a tweet posted on its official account. The hackers left a ransom note, threatening to release source codes for several games developed by CD PROJEKT RED, including Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3, and Gwent. The hackers also claim to have stolen documents related to HR, accounting, administration, legal, and investor relations. The company does not wish to give in to the ransom request, however.

Yesterday we discovered that we have become a victim of a targeted cyber attack, due to which some of our internal systems have been compromised.
An unidentified actor gained unauthorized access to our internal network, collected certain data belonging to CD PROJEKT capital group, and left a ransom note the content of which we release to the public. Although some devices in our network have been encrypted, our backups remain intact. We have already secured our IT infrastructure and begun restoring the data.

We will not give in to the demands nor negotiate with the actor, being aware that this may eventually lead to the release of the compromised data. We are taking necessary steps to mitigate the consequences of such a release, in particular by approaching any parties that may be affected due to the breach.
We are still investigating the incident, however at this time we can confirm that —to our best knowledge — the compromised systems did not contain any personal data of our players or users of our services.

We have already approached the relevant authorities, including law enforcement and the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, as well as IT forensic specialists, and we will closely cooperate with them in order to fully investigate this incident.

my girl v - hard playthrough w/o doing mainquest... it's actually hard to just use anything but a cool handgun and headshot, rifles are junk, i got the few iconic ones, fenirir, protoype chinese, the patriot one, so far the only good one is the psalm 116 or whatever number, i've done almost all the quests and thug, popo missions lvl 34

Second playthrough and this time I went Body/Int/Tech and figured I'd use Shotguns instead of pistols. Yeah, garbage vs a pistol. It can do serious damage in close range but in general you have multiple opponents that flank you and on high difficulty you just take too much damage. Snipers are fun but shitty RoF and you just end up feeling like you went Stealth Bow build on Skyrim.

I might have one build left in me so I think I'll go Reflexes/Body/Cool and see how that works. Intelligence will be tough to drop as it makes life massively easy and I'm not sure what effect it'll have on the main scenario if I gimp it.

shot gun was fun, but i play with controller, even on pc, b/c i'm a pleb and it's just easier than mouse and keyboard, but you HAVE to run and gun w/ shotgun, especially with the builds that make you run faster and do more dmg, but i hate running in cyberpunk where you have to push in the controller stick.

so to change it up i decided to be a netrunner killer

apparently all these ultimate hacks besides system reset

can only be obtained randomly from a voodoo boy drop...

so, if i wanna be a netrunning killer, i have to farm black ppl

so anyway, thats pretty fun, after a 1hr of running around voodoo town and being my redneckiest, i managed to get suicide, it's pretty awesome. it's so hardcore that you can get someone to self jerle by slitting their own throat if they don't have a gun.

I agree about rifles, they mostly suck except for Psalm 11:6 and Moron Labe. Some of them have so much recoil, you can't even hit the target after the first 2 shots, making them completely useless. The only shotguns I really found myself using was The Headsman and Ba Xing Chong. Both of them are really awesome, but once you get Ba Xing Chong, you'll never use any other shotgun in the game (hell, you probably won't even use any other weapon in the game).

I think my favorite was katana blade and pistols. Comrade's Hammer and Satori is a great way to cheese the game.

You can craft the ultimates also or get them from hacking access points.

They completely trivialize the game though.

If you use the Tetratronic Rippler Legendary deck it has the beautiful ability of allowing your ultimates to skip to one person.

Much fun to be had running around with Detonate Grenade watching entire buildings explode. It's like ending of Kingsman.

You guys ever notice that the AI gets a whole lot smarter when you use the cyberpsychosis hack on them?

I'm surprised at how quickly their friends turn on them.

I'd have liked to have seen some dialogue like, "Frank! Wtf dude!" before they immediately start firing back at their mates.

I've sort of found a way around this. It's not perfect because sometimes the drivers will just stop and get stuck cowering in the driver seat. But most of the time, you can hop on top of a car and ride it around the city, and draw down on fools which typically causes the driver in the vehicle to speed off becoming an unwitting accomplice to your murder roving. It's actually a pretty neat way to see the city, I find it works best with bigger vehicles like vans or the big freight trucks, since you can get a little farther back from the driver, which seems to keep them from freaking out and stopping out of fear when you turn on the bullet hose.

Recently got this and was psyched to play it with the gf, but my steam link is freezing up with the red bandwidth icon in the bottom right whenever focused on the app. Works fine at my PC, and if I alt-tab out of focus on CP 2077, I can see the opening splash stuff playing, but the steam link just won't work with it. It's not a true bandwidth issue either as far as I can tell, as even swapping to wired network connection did nothing. Also, every other game I've ever tried to broadcast down here has worked fine, up to most recently Pathfinder:Kingmaker. CP 2077 is the only one that's ever done this.

Anyone have any ideas/advice? Playing it at my PC isn't ideal, broadcasting it to the TV down in the bedroom is much better for both of us at the same time.

I was just mad that the whole storyline was
Get Johnny out of your head and stay alive
I wanted to go full cyber aloha snackbar and destroy Arasaka.
There is a secret ending that has you go in there and wreck shop.

Try minimizing big picture mode and starting the game from the desktop.

I want to say I tried this but I’ll try again.

I did think about the fact I’m still running win7 because I hate 10. That might be it.

Also, when playing at the PC it crashed a couple of times, once trying to go to char creation after clicking female, and once right at the beginning after she pukes.
