I am bored before bf6, so gonna try something I usually avoid in these games. A melee smash build with blunt weapon. No hacking, no shooting. Not even blades.
I'm restarting a new play through right now. Just upgraded my CPU and ram. Now I can run with Raytracing on.

I also installed this pack. And it really is supplemental. Can barely tell it's there until you get into the game.

It's not very CPU Intensive.

That's a lot of mods. I try not to have too many, as I always seem to run into some weird crash, or conflict and its a headache figuring out what is causing it.

Hell just now I had to disable all my mods to start corpo, because apparently something in that path's prologue mission messed with something I had, but they can be loaded as soon as its over and in Act1.

It actually downloads pretty fast and doesn't seem to affect my computer at all. It shouldn't cause you any issues. I'm using last gen Ryzen CPU so it's not exactly cutting edge.

Just picked this up on steam sale. Seems fun so far. If I don't follow a build guide and just roll through the game, will I be totally scuffed towards the end?

No not really. It is easy to respec. With enough play you get all the points you need. Depending on build, some weapons make it much easier.

You can complete the game just fine - guides will basically just teach you how to become an unkillable god

No. Do whatever you want, try all the builds. I think i got a mod that makes respecing easier.

I bought this a while back and just started this morning. I'm going in totally blind. I do need to adjust my mouse sensitivity or change my mouse (I have a few) for driving, that didn't work well. I have a driving wheel and I'm not sure it's even supported but it takes up entirely too much room for a game that you also need a keyboard.

One of the greatest RPGs I've ever played.

Expectations for this game can be summed up with this in-game quote:

"A happy ending? For folks like us? Wrong city, wrong people."

There is a mod out that gives a kind of happy ending called "The Transition". In a game like this, it is as close as you get to a happy ending.

Going through the story I personally dont think a good (happy) ending even fits here. It would undermine and make a joke of the whole story leading up to it.

The closest thing to a happy ending in the game is 'The Nomad' ending

Btw, Dec 10th, on the fifth anniversary of this game's release - big announcement for CP2077.

They've been teasing this for a while.

Doubtful it'll be another expac, might be another big free content update?

That or they show some clips from the new game coming.

As of late November 2025, the video game Cyberpunk 2077 has sold over 35 million copies worldwide. This sales milestone was achieved faster than the studio's previous title, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Top 25 best selling games of all time, and rightly so.

The new Cyberpunk? Probably not - I wouldn't expect them to tease anything from that until Witcher 4 is closer to being released.

Then again, CDPR likes to tease shit like half a decade before it gets released...

I like how you make your argument and then counter it.
