EDIT: replied too soon see what you did. I have not tried that one. Let me know what you think. I'm about due for another CP run. All I recall that I added was one that let me add cars from RL and one that allowed me to make my own radio station so I could play my own songs.
Don't think it's the installer that's the problem, works well (and seems to have far more compilations for different games than wabbajack), however the modpack isn't really working well. The installer also shows a collective tally of how many successful installs there have been of the mod pack, which says 49%...

For me, it had 4 mods that, even though it said they were up to date (at least for when they came out) their scripts didn't work, so had to disable. But when entering the game
1) Controller doesn't work properly. The sticks won't activate when you press them (even tried turning on steam input). It just shows the animation of holding a rifle, but without holding it. Couldn't swap.

2) I noticed an NPC not talking, saw text, but no voice. I could talk back, but silent response. Figured it might be that I continued a save that wasn't modded (after the intro).

3) Restarted. WAY more options for character select, with tons of presets of actually good looking characters. So the texture packs worked, and intro worked until the tutorial fight section. There are a few mods that enhances combat / enemies, and I assume they also add/change abilities. The initial tutorial ones kept using cyber attacks on me which I don't think they did before, but that was fine. What was not fine is that you're supposed to hack a camera, look at two guards and detonate one of their grenades. That is supposed to explode and kill them to end it. However, the grenade was now a gas grenade, they didn't die and I was locked in the screen.

4) for some reason loading anything other than a manual save crashes the game, so the auto saves in the different sections of the tutorial didn't work.

I think I'm going to delete everything and just get a few manual mods.

Or.... hear me out. Looked at recently updated collections, not just popular ones (most popular was the Night city one). Last updated 4th of September.

Above failed horribly. Could do character select, but crashed after entering game every time.

Deleted all mods and folders in base game, reverified files for game, then downloaded

Perfect City 2.31 by Lilevitchi

https://www.nexusmods.com/games/cyberpunk2077/collections/zrobzz + the 4k HD mod collection that the same guy did that is compatible.

Way less options when starting the game (though new intro and song taken from the anime?). Loads up the game faster, and from a fresh start, did everything including combat tutorial with no bugs or problems. No major script changes either it looks like. Just downloaded the mods and it say collection complete and ready to go.

So Vortex seems to run well if the creators do a good job of packing the collections and keeping them updated. Even if it says that the load order is automatically done correctly and all mods are "up to date", that just means up to date as in the latest version from Nexus. If it the newest there, but not updated for the game, it lists as green in the mod installer, but crashes the game. Which of course then collections with nearly 3000 mods runs a substantial high risk of.

Also downside is that (like with wabbajack), you do need the premium thing from Nexus. Manually installing hundreds of mods is a no go, and at slow speeds as well. Premium downloaded as fast as Steam.

Yeah, Nexus is pretty much unusable now without Premium. So glad my New Vegas mods qualified me for lifetime free premium ages ago, because there's no way in hell I'd ever give them any money. Just have to make sure I don't get my account banned for saying something in a mod's comment section that triggers one of their degenerate moderators.

That Perfect City collection includes theCyanideX's mods, so you might want to download all his other LUTs and test each one separately using LUT Switcher 3 to decide which one you like best. Nova LUT 4.0 (the one in the collection) is good but it's a very subjective thing, and even more so if you have an HDR display.

weird, i never gave nexus any money or made any content but i've also got a lifetime premium. maybe because my account is so old.

How old? Mine is over a decade I never got free premium
They definitely never gave it away to everyone, my account's 20+ years old at this point and I didn't get it until the reward program went live. Maybe there were giveaways to random people at some point.

This is the program I was referring to: Free Premium for Creators - Nexus Mods Site Help -- 30000 mod downloads or 36000 downloads of a curated collection is (afaik) the only way guaranteed to get free premium for life.
