I mean who isn't going to want to pay extra for the George Droid of Fentachus faction!Going to be interesting to see which game I like better - this one with a real RTS set of gameplay rules - or Total War: Warhammer 40k with its army gameplay rules. I like both types, so it wont be terrible to have both.
But it sounds like this game is going to sell factions just like Total War does. Does it say that in one of those 15-20 minute videos?

So I went and looked it up since I kinda didn't bother watching most videos so far. They actually released a roadmap a couple months back. Unlike previous Dawn of War, which used an expansion system where you buy like a $30-40 expansion every 1-2years or whatever with a bunch of races in them at once, it seems they're going for the piecemeal frequent updates more similar to TW.Going to be interesting to see which game I like better - this one with a real RTS set of gameplay rules - or Total War: Warhammer 40k with its army gameplay rules. Anyone planning to buy this at launch is a retard. Despite what an absolute disaster DoW 3 was I think I'd still give Relic better odds of righting the ship than trusting some random ass studio known mainly for point and click adventure games whose only RTS is 71% positive on Steam. Although looking at the even worse reviews for Company of Heroes 3 maybe GW was right to roll the dice on new devs. That roadmap also does not sound promising at all.I'll probably skip launch and see how it goes after that.
My guy feeling is this early getting a grip on the metal multiplayer of it isn't dog shit like 3. Total war is always shit for a year with pay to win or even pay most faction packages, grab it on sale in a big collection later imo.Going to be interesting to see which game I like better - this one with a real RTS set of gameplay rules - or Total War: Warhammer 40k with its army gameplay rules. I'm not terribly hopeful when you pair it with looking at what they did to coh as wellAnyone planning to buy this at launch is a retard. I didn't mean buying it at launch like preordering but more looking at reviews/watching some twitch streams to get an idea and buying it week 1, but the way it's done it's better to just check it out again in a year see how it ended up.Anyone planning to buy this at launch is a retard. Yeah if it weren't for reta...trailblazers like you then we wouldn't have any information to work off of.I already bought it. I don't know what platform you all are talking about, but on steam you can refund it without giving a reason as long as you play under 2 hours, and that's what I plan to do. So it get two hours to convince me, or I get all my money back. Seems fair to me.
