PQ has a 1200 online cap. It had to remove a bunch of custom content including modeling changes it made so that other races could have visible robe graphics etc.

I would dispute "as possible". P99 was given evidence for classic behavior several times that they choose not to adopt. They also won't remove mousewheel zoom.

What happens is these emus get so old that they become their own thing, and radical changes would cause an exodus because the older they are the less tolerant to change people get. So it's not unreasonable for them to refuse to adopt newly discovered classic things, really. On TAKP I used to get a lot of flak for nerfing things when I later discovered they were inaccurate or they were simply made a priority because more important things were finished, because people had gotten used to the way they were for years. At one point I had to revert an archery nerf because the staff played rangers and didn't like it.

I spent the last year doing heavy research into the classic resist system (the finished document is about as large as the book Animal Farm; it's a lot of work) and none of the emus want to implement it. I put a bit of it into Quarm and it didn't last long. It was reverted so much that it ended up making the game easier than even the newer resist system is, so my attempt at making Quarm more accurate just ended up making Quarm easier than Live as far as resists were concerned at least until Luclin opened. The only way we're getting a true classic server is by building a new one now that the mechanics are better understood because retrofiting is simply sentimentally intolerable.
