Zaide Zaide How is the Everquest reddit drama going?

Kolamer was removed by Reddit, I was made a Mod again along with my pal Mandalore. We mostly undid his damage, and re opened the subreddit. I specifically made sure we didn’t ban Kolamer and he predictably came to the subreddit comments and reminded everyone exactly why he was removed. After enough reports we banned him and then Reddit deleted his whole account.

Now the sub is back to normal operations, smooth and drama free.

With zero care or investment in the situation, yet I still laugh and find satisfaction in that outcome. Karma.

Was a good run, but next time maybe consider not doing anything illegal?

Just a thought

The server it self was illegal. The monetization is what put them on the radar.

Don't kid yourself. They dont care about quality, they care about money. That's all it came down to. With a small dash of "lets set a precedent", just in case for the future..
according to the documents filed with the court they had no idea how much money THJ was making until after they had filed for the injunction. they sued solely due to a reduction in players logging into their annual slop spending their disability checks on kronos and bags due to the popularity of a vastly superior free to play product.

Are you accusing them of committing Perjury?

No, by daybreak's own admission, they sued because THJ was more popular and costing them money, which means THJ's "greed" (lol) played no part. They would of gotten sued even if they hadn't accepted donations at all. They made a better everquest that was more popular than daybreak's.

I will say I have not seen any increase in player population on fangbreaker since THJ was shut down. There was a small bump when level 55 unlocked but the server has lost that small bump and is now at similar population before the 55 unlocking.

They're going to keep milking their worthless existing slop until May, and then try a new server only when the weather finally warms up and most people want to log into a game less. They won't put anything out during this winter, even with the obvious opening for something decent to attract players back being there. I assume this is THJs fault of course.

There has been near zero impact on Quarm as well, as I thought would be the case.

THJ had almost nothing to do with Everquest.
