Watching 4 now, it's way better than 3. At the draft scene or whatever for the pairing for a tournament. DS got to suck titties again but got interrupted by draft, then visited by titty queen. It's fantastic so far. Lot of reuse of footage from the first.

thats got to be bullshit. no way they made a Deathstalker with no nudity.
anyway, trailers, etc look like shit.
This is like Toxic avenger, where I can say, this looks awful, and seems to miss the mark. but the original was also total shit really. So it is admittedly hard to explain why its shit.
All of the sword and sandel movies are just a bit off.
Conan 1, conan 2, and beastmaster are probably the only really good ones. with Conan having a commanding lead.
The older adventure films largely did a FAR better job. Sinbad, jason and the argonauts, etc. clash of the titans was in period for conan, etc, but is more akin to these for example.
Of course Deathstalker, barbarians, etc was full of camp. but this looks like the wrong kind of camp. Upgrading the already stupid if iconic magic sword. making it even stupider. totally the wrong move.

This Deathstalker is a really fun homage to the sword and sorcery movies of the ‘80s. It didn’t necessarily have to be Deathstalker, Kostanski could have just made it his own, original sword and sorcery movie – but it does have some structural similarities to the first Deathstalker early on, and this franchise was never one for continuity, so this new movie can easily be slotted into it. It is missing one key element, though. The gratuitous nudity. Nudity was so prevalent in the previous movies, you have to wonder, can a movie that doesn’t have gratuitous nudity really be considered part of the Deathstalker franchise? It’s truly a sign of that times that we’ve got a new Deathstalker movie that has been completely de-sexed (apparently at the encouragement of Gen Z).
Well, the Deathstalker reboot is severely lacking in the bare breast department, but it’s definitely worth checking out for the creatures and the swordplay. Shout! Studios and Radial Entertainment are bringing it to theatres on October 10th.

Some of it is, thats what this was to emulate and bring to the modern era…
Some of it is, men like boobs and boobs randomly throughout a fantasy adventure makes it more fun.
Etc.
Find a few dudes who have never seen under siege. Have half watch the full version and half the TV version.
Have them rate the film in general, in a few different ways, have them also tell you about character likability etc.
Then see…interesting results..
