Original Xbox controllers were for Xbros who wanted to lift weight while they played Halo.

Loved the original monster-sized controller, it fit my hand well, but I'm a larger than average sized person. I also love my Note 3 phone, no issues using it 1-handed.

Hmm with TigerDirect having the Intel Core i5-4690K on sale today for $45 less than Newegg I may have to jump on building this system tonight. It really is much less than that with no tax. For me it would make it $60 less on cpu alone.
Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad Core Processor $195 + Free Shipping w/ TigerDirect Email Coupon - TigerDirect Deals, Coupons and Promos

Still wondering if I can reuse my Windows 7 Key though, and if I can run completely off a SSD only long term without issues.

whats the question? if you can only run with a SSD? most ppl have now have

120gb SSD

2-4TB secondary drive

of course now 250gb SSD's are becoming really affordable now.

run all your programs on main drive keep music/media on other drive.

Do want?... just not that badly.
My SLI 670's seem to run everything just fine maxed out. Until I upgrade my monitor to a resolution beyond 1080p, I don't really see the point. That is a hell of an expensive upgrade though! (Monitor + video card(s))

Hell, my SLi'd 3GB 660Tis run everything great even at 1440p. You won't have to upgrade for a while, even if you do upgrade monitors. Your SLI'd 670s should benchmark a little better than a lone 780Ti(assuming the game supports SLI, which most, but not all, do)

I've currently got a single 670GTX that I got cheap with some absurd combo with my Seasonic X650 Gold PSU. (Something like 80 dollars off + a 40 dollar gift card, go Newegg.)

I think I can wait for the 20nm GPUs.

They are boasting some serious 4k frame rates on the GTX 980.

NVIDIA's latest GPU crams 4K images on 1080p displays

Looks like 4k goes mainstream by holiday 2015 to me. Bet it's gonna be real smart to do a full upgrade to Skylake (PCI-e 4.0, DDR4, sata express) and the fall 2015 nvidia 20nm Maxwell cards.

Here's all the benchmarks you could ever want for the GTX 980

Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Review | Maximum PC

Looks like a solid card. Always beats a 780, often(but not always) beats a 780Ti at 1080p to 1600p resolutions.

Looks like the only downside of the 980 is that it's 256 bit bus seems to limit it a bit at 4K resolutions compared to the 384 bit 780s and the 512 bit AMD 290x. The 980 benchmarkes slower than both the 780 and 780Ti at 4K resolutions in 5 of their 6 benchmarks(Metro:Last Light being the only game where the 980 came out ahead). The same results held up for SLI @ 4K.

So basically, it looks like the 980 is a beast at 1080p, 1440p, and even 1600p resolutions, but starts to struggle at 4K, even in SLI compared to the older 780 cards and AMDs 290s

And comparisons on the 980/970 vs a 690?
Probably won't see too many reviews of new cards vs a 690, it was a fairly pricey card that not a ton of people bought, and its 2 generations old now. Best we can probably do is make assumptions. According to Anandtech:

680 vs 690
Metro Last Light 1600p: 36fps/60fps - 66% gain
Bioshock Infinite 1440p 53/93 - 75% gain
Battlefield 4 1440p 41/66 - 61% gain
Thief 1440p 31/56 - 80% gain

So its probably safe to say that a 690 is a 60-80% gain over a 680 in most games at the 1440-1600p resolution range

Now the stats from Maximum PC, 1600p resolution 4x MSAA on highest/ultra settings in all games

680 vs 980
Tomb Raider - 19/33 - 74% gain
Metro Last Light - 21/46 - 119% gain
Batman Arkham Origins 51/75 - 47% gain
Hitman Absolution 27/42 - 55% gain

So the 980 over a 680 is anywhere from a ~50 to 120% gain

Id say don't upgrade, assuming you are gaming at 1600p or below. Some games might actually be slightly better on a 690 than a 980. And while the top-end of the 980 might be a little higher, its just going to vary wildly from game to game. Going from a 690 to a 980 probably wouldn't be a noticeable jump in power in most situations.

If you plan on gaming at 4K anytime soon, yeah, a 980 is probably going to outperform the 690 juts due to the 4GB vs 2GB of memory, but its not like a lone 980 is going to be great at 4K regardless, you'd still need to pair up 2 of them to consistently get over 30FPS in most games.

Right now, until drivers maybe get optimized a little better for the 980, the only significant advantage it has over a 690 would be heat and power consumption. (690 can max out at 300W, 980 is almost half, at 165W)

I game at 1440p but really I'm on a quest to shrink my pc. I'm in a matx case now. I've considered mitx but idk. Maybe this is as far as I want to go.
