Is it worth the extra $50 for the 4th gen i5-4670k or is the i5-3570k still top dog or close enough?
There isn't a lot of difference for gaming at all, about the only significant difference is the built-in video is much better on the 4670, if that is something you would ever use(probably not if you have a dedicated graphics card)

That extra $50 might get you 1-2% better performance in games at most, so you have to decide if that is worth it to you or not.

Frostbite 3 is a pretty taxing engine so if you want consistent 60 FPS with all max settings you are going to need more then a 780. For titanfall, since it is a Source engine game, your card will be overkill.
Bullshit, at 1920x1080 I can go ultra everything and get 60+ with an R9 280x. 780 will be plenty all the way to 2500x1600 (cant remember exactly that res)

If you have a Corsair PSU and wanted their sleeved cables they are running a 50% off promo on PSU and memory accessories. Also 50% off outlet items which isn't bad considering a lot of it still comes with a one year warranty.

He said consistent 60 FPS. See below. At 2560x1600, Ultra Quality settings, and 4X MSAA you're looking at an average of 35 FPS with a 780 and minimum FPS of 25. Even with AA turned off at the resolution the 780 does 33 min/47 avg.

Again, here are the charts to give you an idea of what your card can run BF4 at:Battlefield 4 Retail GPU and CPU Benchmarks

In the picture below, the grey numbers are the MINIMUM FPS you'll get and the numbers in the red/green are your average FPS.

Side note: Got my computer up and running last night. Haswell is a bitch to overclock. Going to take my cooler off tonight, clean it up and redo the thermal paste. Pretty sure I used too much because so far I can't even get it above 4.3 Ghz without my temps going above 80C under load (83 was max).

The GTX 780 will have no problem doing 60 FPS avg at 1920x1080.
Yeah, 1080p is basically half the resolution of the 2560x1600 listed in the benchmarks above. So take those numbers and basically double the FPS score for an accurate 1080p benchmark. That would put the 780 at about 70 FPS average, and even a 770 averaging 60 FPS

I'm about to go to MicroCenter on Monday. They'll price match anything generally right? And aren't they cheaper than anywhere else for the most part?

Wait AMD makes fucking GPUs now? WTF. Okay someone needs to help me build a monster, I'LL SUCK YOUR DICK. I'm looking at Tecknoe's build and it seems like it could be tightened up in some spots.

AMD acquired ATI in 2006.

Also post a budget and what you'll use the computer for and I can give you a starting point.

Correct. Obviously the only downside is that you'll pay sales tax at Microcenter(which does add up when you are spending $1000+ on a new PC)

But no one can touch them on processor + mobo prices, and they'll at worst be equivalent on all your other parts to online pricing once they pricematch.

Make sure to actually flag down a sales associate(they make commissions so they're usually thrilled to help if you're filling up a cart with parts), because they often have un-advertised specials going on all the time. They may have sales on RAM when you are purchasing a CPU, or sales on certain SSDs when bought with certain motherboards, etc.

Going to Microcenter Friday. Any of these good deals? I know very little about motherboards these days...

The Extreme4, UD3H, and the ASUS are all fine boards. Of those, its a toss up between the Extreme4 and UD3H.
