Yea Win10 is amazingly stable as a clean install, very likely your issue was some shitty dell/hp/whatever branded software borking when updates ran.

So after not even finding a trace of a 1070 superclocked online anywhere, check frys and ready to pick up in 20 minutes. Lol. Let's see how this compares to my 550ti.

This the Fry's in Tempe? Were there anymore left?
No, Tbird over by 35th ave ish. Looks like I got lucky as the site shows they are now out of the evga, still showing MSI gaming X models in stock there, though and they still have the SC model in warehouse it looks like for shipping.

Is a "gold" standard power supply that much better then the lessser ones?

Is 16gb of ram worth getting over 8?

Is I-7 worth the extra money for only gaming?

Thanks everyone

Mmm. 650W PSU, silent below 40%. Maybe get one a tad more powerful, 750 or 850 to avoid the fan? It's 10 and 30 dollars more, respectively. I donno, I hate fan noise.
Sure if that bothers you. I have a 650 and I can't hear my psu fan though.

Gold is good to get. Psus come in tiers and typically you want gold or above.

16 vs 8, 8 is the standard but I think it's best to stick with 16 especially how cheap ram is.

For gaming an i5 is more than enough. You only need an i7 for cpu intensive stuff like streaming, video editing etc.
