Anyone have a streaming setup using multiple sources? I would like to convert my old PC into a streaming PC that will accept signal from my PS5 and my new PC. Not sure of the hardware I'd need for that. A capture card, like the Elgato stuff, seems to be for taking a single signal and sending to a PC. Is there a similar capture card that would take both PS5 and PC video to the streaming PC?

Yeah Elgato capture card should be what you need. I've never thought to capture from a console but thats what i believe they use.

A few things: Most (read: cheaper) capture cards for gaming use have only one HDMI input, so if you want to capture two things at the same time you need two of them.

The specific capture card you want depends on a few things: Resolution, high refresh rate (>60 Hz), and HDR support. External capture cards are mostly USB, but have HDMI passthrough to hook into between console and TV. For example, they capture 4K at 60 Hz, but pass through 4K at higher refresh rates to your monitor. They will send an already compressed signal to your PC via USB, and some of them can be finicky in some cases. For most you'll need at least an USB 3.0 port that is not on an USB hub. Depending on the capture card the output may lag, sometimes very noticable, between HDMI passthrough and the captured output.

Internal capture cards can capture uncompressed frames and use the PC to encode. The old Elgato 4K60 Pro does this for example, but this is 2019 tech.

If you want to game on one PC and stream on the other, you can also send audio+video between them without a capture card. For example, you run two instances of OBS Studio: On the gaming PC you capture your game/screen + audio, and send it to the streaming PC via an OBS plugin. One of those:
EDIT: Be aware that most capture cards will not capture HDCP encoded material whatsoever. You have to disable this on the console--which in turn will probably disable video playback, for example from streaming sites. There are .. ahem ... very cheap, very Chinese HDMI splitters on Amazon that take HDCP input and will "forget" to re-encode their output with HDCP, though.

Props to that dude for being candid with Steve, considering he just showed up lol
steve sorta ambushed him

asrock said they could only do a 9am interview. and steves press badge only let him in at 10am, so steve borrowed an exhibitioners badge to get in at 9am

so him being candid, is b/c he wasn't able to prepare 1hr of bullshit

i mean they are shitty asrock, does anyone expect anything good from them?

I bought an ASUS board before so I have reasons for never buying anything with their fucking name on it ever again even if the world blows up and they are the only tech company to survive. ASRock was always the brand you bought if you didn't have the money to PC game but wanted to PC game. Not sure how they are now but I got into this when a 486DX266 was a fast CPU.

Ordered my parts last Friday. For some reason they were broken up into 4 deliveries, even though they are all supposed to be here today. I've received 1 of the 4. Gotta be some DEI shit going on.

ASRock is a spinoff to be the budget Asus right?

I worked with their BIOS engineers several years ago and did not have a good experience. That's all I can really say, but it colored my opinion of the company.

yea lulz, like Noodleface Noodleface asus said, shit, we're letting this cheap motherboard segment go away, lets spin off a bit of our team and make walmart motherboards, and call it ASrock, ppl are so dumb they won't even think that it's related to ASus

Well, despite the program I used saying everything was compatible, the fan shroud for the cooler is just barely blocking the power plugs in the motherboard. They might work if I break off the clips/locks, but that seems like a bad idea for a power cable.
Not sure I can move or adjust either the cooler or the MB given the mounting points. Drill new MB mounts? LOL

Take some pictures. If you went with the Phantom Spirit it might just need to be flipped 180 to bias the bulk of the cooler toward the bottom.

so are you saying you mounted the aio rad on top and there is so little clearance that the shroud/fans are next to the two 8pin aux?

Those (2) 8 pin aux plugs are the bane of our existence! 2 fairly large plugs in the top corner of the mobo where (usually) a case fan and/or a radiator / cpu cooler will block. What can go wrong?

my vote is still cpu fan clips

i still remember when you could just screw in a fan to the cpu heatsink

Fan shroud touches mobo, I noticed. Can’t move the fans anywhere. Fan still spins fine. Cooling system can’t be shifted forward in the case any further. Cant go up. Only option is fuck around to try and move to mobo down? No other mounting holes for it though.
