INTHEMIDSTOFLIONS INTHEMIDSTOFLIONS you should just buy this bundle and then sell the rest to recoup the cost - at least you'd get 32GB of DDR5 for $200:

It's a trap to get you to play Outlaws, you should get PAID $200 to play it!

Sorry about that - the deal must have expired by then.

Best I can find right now is: DOMINATOR® TITANIUM RGB 48GB (2x24GB) DDR5 DRAM 6400MT/s CL36 Intel XMP Memory Kit — Black

2x 24GB kit for $199 - it's CL36 instead of CL30, but the real world gaming performance is only about 1% difference, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.
I appreciate it. I think once it hits black friday I'll buy everything and just hopefully there will be a 2x16 slash, but if there's not, I can buy 2x16 on Ebay. There's a handful on there tht are 6000 mhz CL30 for about $150. That price isn't great, but it's a smaller price to pay for the current market demand.

There are some 2x16 6000mhz CL30 nearby that are like $80 on craigslist, but wife wants me to buy somewhere that has warranty.

Did G.Skill start requiring proof of purchase for warranty replacement? I don't recall having to provide a receipt last time (but it has been over a decade ago) , hell for that matter did G.Skill stop doing lifetime warranty for the top tier RAM?

Meant to do this upgrade 3 or so years ago but things got in the way, mostly vacations.

What I have;
2 4k monitors
4080 gpu

What I need;
cpu + okay cooling
motherboard - don't need 10gbs LAN as I cannot get even close to that, 2.5gbs LAN is fine, and wifi entirely optional. Don't need a lot of bells whistles at all, I am pretty basic.
ram - 32g is fine but if we can squeeze in an upgrade to 64g that could be cool because 64 is a much cooler number that 32. Like, 4 times cooler.

what I will replace if needed;
power supply (current is 850w)

I don't need best of the best, or even best of the middle, I just need to replace what I have with the best I can afford.

Budget, we'll say under 1500us.
Limited, yes, because we just spent a shit tonne going to Italy but it's what I got and I am having computer issues now (pc restarting due to cpu issues, can't play a game and watch twitch/youtube at the same time).
Going AMD over Intel because I don't know why the fuck not? Will listen to advice on this issue.
I'm grossly out of touch with computer hardware, have been for a decade, and need some advice, please. I don't understand what makes one motherboard better than another, or do I really need 16cores on my cpu, or even 12? However, I do like bigger numbers. Ram is ram, you buy what you can get. No overclocking or fancy shit going on and I am not a power gamer, I just over spent on monitors and gpu and want to get the most out of them which I am currently not.

This was my build from April (removing the graphics card since you don't need one) - this was ~ $1500 from Microcenter.

The AIO was from Amazon, only because it was OoS at MC when I went to order it, but I did count the price in my total. Not sure if you needed a case or PSU, so I left them in.

Thinking of going with;

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 8-Core - Though I am thinking of splurging and getting the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X 16-Core/32Thread one because heheehehehMWEEEHAHAHAHAAHEEHEEee but that would be stupid and nothing really says it would help me out at all but at the same time... **giggle**
GIGABYTE B850 GAMING X WIFI6E AMD AM5 LGA 1718 Motherboard - I have no idea what I am doing here, seriously need to retire my two 1tb hdds at some point and this gives me some extra m2 slots
Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB (2x16GB) - I am paying a little more for the lighty up ones and nothing I have read says getting 64 is worth it
be quiet! Dark Rock 5 CPU air Cooler - I had a water cooler and it was a fucking bitch to clean the air filter part, can always buy a liquid one down the road if this proves unreliable or wattever
CORSAIR RM1000x Fully Modular Low-Noise ATX Power Supply - Always used corsair psu's and never had a problem (**knocks on wood). Decades ago I had a generic no-name brand one actually spark out and emit smoke once, did no damage to rest of the computer and I replaced it within a couple of hours but I bought a name brand one and never looked back.

Comes a little over my wife's budget and a little under mine, perfect. I could save a hundred or so buying most of the shit on Amazon but I don't trust it. I am Canadian and use Canada Computers because at least I can go into a store and yell at someone if something is wrong or broken.

Any knowledgeable criticisms and advice would be appreciated.
Will give away

I saw Barry Horrowitz win on a some Saturday afternoon show on tv, fucking blew me away and my mom yelled at me because I cheered so loud.
