I got everything for my computer in yesterday...except the processor that won't be in until Wednesday
frown.png
Set up what I could though, and I love that Corsair 500R case. That thing is like E-Z mode for building your own. If someone has never built a computer before, I feel with a case like this (there are several just like it I'm sure), just about anyone can do it without too much trouble.

On an amusing note, if you remember I ordered the micro-ATX motherboard by mistake, and they told me it was too late to stop the shipment unless I canceled the whole thing. So I just ordered another one, planning to do the RMA later. Well, when it arrived, they had managed to put the new one in the same freaking box as the one I wanted returned! The guy couldn't reach in and take one out, but he could put another one in just fine!

Technology, I tell ya.

Tax money bitches, whose building a new rig?
I was going to this month, but since I'm not very stoked on Titanfall, I'm gonna wait for high-end Maxwell on 20nm. Hopefully GTX 880 drops before Landmark full release and I'll get me a 4k setup.

Also, I need a new mouse and would love some suggestions. I play MMORPGs and fast-paced FPS games for the most part. Currently eyeballing this puppy:

Bathroom remodel with our tax money. We usually don't get any refund, but apparently the IRS likes you more when you have a kid. Who knew?
YEah I now have an i5 2500K and a i5 3470K systems so im god to go for a while, although I will be probably buying a video card for the 3570 system to replace the aging AMD 6850 card. Im thinking of the above card I linked.

Also yeah, we have a living room to redo this spring. Top down remodel, including a shitty 1/2 wall brick fireplace we need to redo.

And yeah kids hep with the deductions, we have 2 so were in the bonus.

Yeah, I'm self employed so I have to send in my own quarterly taxes, so I always try to be right on, not over or under, and the 1 kid(plus extra deductions for medical expenses) was worth a little over 5 grand worth of credits. Woohoo.

That being said, he cost us WAY more than that last year, lol. So it's not like we're making money on the deal

I claim zero on my W2 and I could probably claim like 2 and be even, but I kind of like the bonus in the winter/spring time. If I just got that money check to check, it would all just get blown anyway, so this is like a nice Uncle Sam savings plan.

Have the i5-2500k and 6850 as well, and thinking of doing some upgrades but for what I play, it's doing just fine. When it starts chugging on games unless I drop the settings, that's when I think I'll look into some upgrades.

Out of curiosity, what are you playing that you feel the need to upgrade to a gtx 760 right now?

Well I think my BF4 experience would be greatly improved over my AMD 6850. Also playing the TESO beta I was getting 40 FPS which definitely would see an improvement since the 760 is like twice the power of the 6850. Its a few generations old and I would like to treat myself. I usually only spend $150-$200 for a video card, but I can spend $250 in the 760 right now and it would last me for years.

Opinion needed: I currently have 2 24" 1920x1200 monitors in my office I use for gaming/linux coding/work. I have an i5 2500 OCed with a 6970.. Currently, I just game on one but I've contemplated getting a 3rd monitor for gaming in 5760x1200 but I'm not sure if I have the video card horsepower for it, and I'm also unsure if it'd be better to go with a single 30" for gaming and keeping the 2 24" just for work/secondary purposes..

Thoughts?

I think triple monitors are the best upgrade I've ever made for gaming. That said unless you want to play at medium/low you're going to have to upgrade your GPU also. I was struggling to keep BF4 at 60fps constant so I just ordered another GTX 780 today for my setup. Something to consider. The immersion from 3 screens is amazing though. You'd love it.
