Lenas Lenas you live and die for this game. Objectively what do you think?

Edge of Fate is objectively better than Shadowkeep, Beyond Light and Lightfall. It has new systems in place that are beneficial to everyone, free and paid. I get if people don't like the Metroid ball or whatever, but the story is good with some twists I didn't expect.

If you don't like playing Destiny, it's not going to make you like playing Destiny. It's just removed a lot of barriers.

After doing some cursory research on the expansion to get a feel for how good/bad it is, I've determined 2 things about Destiny 2 players and what they hate:

1. Change
2. Things the way they are

Does the latest xpac invalidate older content? Thinking I'll play through the old shit and hopefully they'll have ironed out some issues/discounted the latest Xpac by then.

I thought eternity was part of the paid for 30th anniversary pack (That is still sold). And along with that some dungeons.

With that said, that's a shit ton of content if you have not gone through it for 8 bucks.

Yeah, I snagged it. I figured for $8, who gives a shit? Even if I hate it, I spend more on gas to work each day.

I opted not to grab it during the summer sale but for eight bucks, I mean it's cheaper than going to McDonald's which I rarely do anymore to begin with.

Yeah from a super casual player (me) Witch Queen and The Final Shape were good. Lightfall just flat out sucked and should have never been split when they basically raw dog split two expacs out of one design doc. Forsaken was decent enough beyond light was mediocre but not nearly as shit as lightfall. If you want to do dungeons those aren't included in that and you still have to buy them. Raids have gotten better but require quite a bit of time, but there are helpful folks in the LFR tool that guide new players and lead. I just never had the time to get into the raiding that much. I did enjoy running a few dungeons with MusicForFish MusicForFish though.

Basically 90% of the fun was fucking around with friends.

I wouldn't touch this latest expansion with a ten foot pole however. McDonalds aside, for $49 you can grab 3-4 games which will offer much more enjoyment if you look at it from an opportunity cost perspective. IE: The Forgotten City is $6. Banishers Ghost of New Eden is 19. Or game per game you can grab expedition 33 if not played it yet for 5 bucks less and I guarantee you it will be much better money spent. This latest Expac for D2 might be the most refunded expansion for D2 in steam history for that product.

Bungie is pretty much fucked as a company as it stands, Marathon is a hilarious disaster, this xpac managed to alienate most of their player base, but even then the players of the game can't get too pissed if they got a lot of time and game out of the dollars spent. But honestly it's time to stick the fork in it and Bungie as a whole from this point forward.

I lasted all of about 1 and 1/2 hours with this. The whole "portal" thing doesn't really help make things that much less confusing and at the end of the day, I just found everything boring as fuck.

Refunded. Maybe I'm just aging out of this genre, but there's just zero excitement when playing this. The gunplay feels good. However, the rest of the experience just felt so bland. It honestly feels like I was playing the looter/shooter version of Diablo 4. Bleeeeehhhh.

Story main character is extremely punchable, hate him, actually worse than the gay surfer which is crazy.

I knew you were a crackhead, but holy shit this is the hottest of hottakes sprinkled with meth. Lodi might actually be the best thing in the entire expac. Sure, that's not saying much... but still.

Otherwise, I like the metroid ball stuff. But it's pretty boring, colors all blend into a brown if yoy don't have the cool looking overlook on screen and that blows ass.

Once you've unlocked the ability to ball anywhere it becomes tolerable. It's still a matter of almost all fights being 3 bar locked stages with mandatory interactions with the ball, and/or Morph. Which sucks.

PvE is a challenge on Legendary, which I like.

Legendary campaign was mid tier -- without the Scout, easy with the Scout. Mythic (which I've completed the full mission log and unlocked Tier 3 focusing), is incredibly difficult and probably wouldn't have been possible without the bugged Scout Rifle.

Not a crackhead mfer, furthermore how dare you. I bring nothing but the worst of the hottest takes for you kids.

Yeah, I revise my initial assesment for sure. Mythic is a blast and a challenge. Running pure frostlock, but have been considering swapping to solar cause the lack of dps in statis is really showing, currently.

What does pvp feel like so far for everyone with the new stats?

Have not touched PVP at all yet. Just power grinding, missed out on the easy Encore runs so I am only up to 245 or so. Spent most of Saturday in the contest raid getting reamed.

I'm 271, did a total of 5 Encore runs. I'm not done with D2 yet, but fuck me if they aren't making it REAL hard to like the game.

How have you been focusing your time? I've been running almost nothing but pinnacle ops but maybe I should just run whatever has bonuses in portal?

fuck me if they aren't making it REAL hard to like the game.

My only real complaint is, why isn't the portal filled with every activity? Dungeon playlist, etc. A lot of content is just going to sit there wasting away when it could be used for progression.

It's a fairly even split before solo ops (anything with a bonus first), then fireteam ops with a buddy (again with the bonuses first), we duo everything, occassionally we'll hit a Quickplay if the bonus is a low slot. Spent a bunch of time duoing Mythic Keplar to unlock T3 focusing. All missions are done at A rank. So right now I'm ploughing Masters.

In between that, we've duo'd Kell's Fall once and Encore 5 times.

Just finished up the Expert Conquest, which is either once a week per account, or once, period.
