Destiny 2 - Clan Link 1st Post

So now Sony thinks they are worth $3.4B not $3.6B, doesn't really change anything.

After Borderlands, Battlefield and now Black Ops underperforming, Destiny 2 is definitely still the best feeling shooter on the market and Sony isn't going to let it go anywhere.

Of course. The campaign is undeniably better than EOF was, but some people won't be able to get over the Star Wars stuff. I think most things in both universes are interchangeable so in my opinion it worked out. Got the lightsaber yesterday, mission was pretty cool, but haven't finished yet. The entire activity of frontier ops / invasions is endgame so you can't access it freely until you finish. Which is nice because EOF had no endgame activity at all.

So I had bought EOF and the year pass and just never fucking played it cause I was tired of Destiny.

Decided to fire it up since, hey I paid for it.

I played everything UP to EOF.

I am completely lost. New systems, weapons dont seem to do any damage unless they are new, No playlists

Im going to knock out this EOF campaign then see where renegades go but im so fucking lost on loot, tiers, light levels, everything its likely they completely remade this game in a shitty way.

Weapon damage has nothing to do with recency or tiers in any meaningful way. You get like a 1% damage bonus per tier now I think.

Playlists are different "ops" in the portal. Fireteam, Arena, Pinnacle, they have multiplayer icons if matchmade. Every activity has a level delta so higher power just unlocks further difficulties. Each section has its own loot pool of armor and weapons.

Higher tier weapons just means more (or enhanced) perks. Higher tier armor is higher stat totals, but it's only better than old stuff once you're in Tier 4-5. Higher difficulties (and by extension, power level) only exist to get you these higher tiers of weapons.

so how come some of the seasons icons on the weapons are geeen and some not I thought that meant they were “in season” and did more damage.

I got drops up to 300 on all slots - that’s all that drops in EOF so far. I have gotten maybe 3-4 slots with a 305 drop so my overall is at 302 but I assume that’s mostly due to old content and 300 being the renegades floor - so I’m guessing once I get to renegades it will start leveling.
Im on the final mission of EOF. The story has completely lost me, I literally zoned out for the voiceovers for the last few missions.

lodi sucks, Orin is a mess, Ikora is out of character. The whole fate vs free will theme has been ass.

I would say EOF is the worst “expansion” since beyond light or maybe even Shadowehatever on the moon.

haven’t gotten to use the portal much, it doesn’t seem the worse but just confusing. I do miss the ease of just knocking out crucible and gambit bounties in the old days.

matter spark and the spores and the rocket teleported are fine mechanics and I don’t mind them adding as a expansion wide mechanic for boss fights and such, the puzzles aren’t hard but the maps are weird so you often can’t tell where the missions are but it works out well. I’ll give them a little credit for that instead of just dps sponge damage checks
