This will turn it around for sure!
This would have been a cash cow when the game had players.LOL, I don't know if it will turn it around, but it might get me to log on.
For reference, I have these in my living room and both are getting a skin.

Yeah I think Luke Smith was a director or some shit in D2 development. It was his shitty ideas to make everything opposite of what made D1 so great. No rolls on weapons and armor, slow everything down, have 2 primaries instead of a primary, secondary and a heavy. Make PvP 4v4 instead of 6v6...Just a whole bunch of dumb shit down the line that they ended up reverting back to its D1 glory over the next yer or two after launch because everyone was pissed and quitting.Curse of Osiris launched and it was like their worst expansion ever.... Then the expansion that saved the game was Forsaken, which overhauled all the systems, made everything faster, put back secondary and heavy weapons, 6v6 PvP and put back random rolls on weapons. All this was possible because Activision had 2 other studios working on Destiny 2 at the time making all that great content.Wasn’t Destiny Luke Smith’s brainchild? I liked that guy on 1up but his shit got old as he started politicking it up on everything. Luke Smith isn’t at Bungie anymore.
The game is not going anywhere, lol. Its just not being updated anymore. D1 is still there if you wanna play it too.Wife is looking forward to some of the Gambit stuff coming, but otherwise not surprised it's the end. She plays solo, gets the Dredgen title or whatever every other season / releases / whatever it is in D2.
It's still such a striking game, and it's hard to wrap my head around the level design and stuff sometimes. Bummer it's coming to end but it's had a hell of a run.
Situation reminds me a little of Anthem - the gameplay / loop isn't really being done by many other games, so while it's problems justify the end, it's a shame to see it go.
That was such an amazing launch. It was the coolest game I can remember ever being a part of. Old Bungie always had that quality about it. So many of their old games: Myth:TFL, Oni, Original Marathon, etc, had these mysterious lore hooks that were so great. Halo had them also. It's not just Bungie, though. All of AAA Western gaming has been conquered by activists and ideologues and until that rot is purged, nothing good will come from them.Man the original Destiny had such a cool premise... I keep thinking that had they stuck to their guns with the original plotline it would have been even a bigger deal than it was.
