Here is the thing in the amount of time they did that they could have done him "legit" from that spot.
We did it tonight with five people above and one person down below with the relic and it was fairly simple once we figured out that he needs to be in LoS to be shot out of detain and he only has one oracle he has to watch.

Did the raid for the first time yesterday (huzzah! Got a shotgun and a fucking shader for the trouble...wtf? 6 ppl, all chests and bosses done, 1 armor part dropped? Thanks..). It took us under 2 hours due to only one guy having done the raid before and he was not the best teacher around, but whatever.
The amount of glitches and bugs in this place is remarkable. Did they not play-test this at all before release? Stuck in terrain, random disconnects, the portals at the end boss not letting everyone come back regardless if we ran through in a line, in a bunch or one by one.... seriously (I think about 40 min of our run was at endboss and failing due to people stuck in portals). Exploits possible everywhere more or less.
And then they claim this would be too hard for matchmaking? Uhu, right. I would guess that might be for the hard mode version possibly but for normal mode, why the hell dont you just make a matchmaker already?

Fuck this game is frustrating. I've been sitting at level 24.9 for at least 10 hrs /played now. Absolute bullshit. Strike after strike after strike after daily after daily and no +light items better then what I have. I work 60 hr weeks and don't have time to fucken sit around organising a 3 man team for weekly strike, little own a raid. It's absolute bullshit. I just can't rationalise some of the insanely fucken retarded design decisions they have made.
How does a company produce multiple classics in Halo with one of the best and biggest communities with years of practice in satisfying them make such fucken stupid decisions.
If match making and ALOT more content isn't released in the next 4-5 months the game is dead. I'd put money on it ok that confident people are going to leave in droves soon.

I think their idea behind it is:
Become 20, get blue shit gear to 24ish.
Grind marks/rep to buy gear from vendors and fully upgrade it to hit about 27ish.
Grind Strange coins/Motes of ligth to buy exotic armor part/engram from Xur on the weekend.
Fully upgrage the exotic, and hit 28.
Or you can hope for the RNG to give you stuff from strikes and farm mats to upgrade it.
Honestly tho, your not missing much at the moment in the form of end-game.
PS. Ofc you can go the PVP route too and grind there....

Ran through most of Vault last night, but had to duck out before the last horde mode or Atheon (my usual group has a bunch of west coasters and I'm east). Wouldn't mind snagging an Atheon kill on either mode if people are doing it today.
Decent night just off Templar and chests. Gloves, Monte Carlo and Found Verdict. Anyone know if Monte Carlo is any good after the nerf? On paper it looks like a fun PVP weapon if nothing else, and damn if it doesn't look slick.

Totally agree. I've said from the beginning that not having a matchmaking option for everything was a dumb decision. I'm 24 now, so no raid or nightfall yet, and my playtimes are so sporatic. I've only been able to do the daily heroic solo, and not even attempt the weekly heroic because I can't do it alone. Having matchmaking would make this infinitely better! They have matchmaking for the strike playlist, which you cab bump up to a higher 'difficulty' and still complete just fine, so why not for the daily stuff and raid? Come on Bungie!
I'm on PS3 btw, so don't have the option to do most of this stuff with any of you guys.

What they really need is a lvl 26 strike option with matchmaking that has a better chance at legendary rewards. Give people a matchmaker bridge from the mid 20s into nightfall.
It's actually not hard to get to 28 if you just have people to play with. If not, it's much worse.

I should be around tonight too, hit me up if you have room for the raid.
Spent some time this morning grinding exp to get my helm upgraded enough to keep me at 28 while wearing it instead of my exotic, and also managed to get epilogue fully upgraded.

There are a few of us on PS3 still. I've only grouped with eXarc (Verseia) so far but there are some others out there too. I can solo the NF/28 weekly heroics easily and frequently invite people from my friend list (mostly built up from using DestinyLFG.net to find raid groups) to join me at the very end when the boss only has a couple pixels of hp left. You do have to be 25 to get in the door though.
