Did none of you play the beta? I have no idea what people they were getting to be so disappointed with the game as it shipped. It was exactly what I expected, both the good and the bad. (OK, the loot system may have turned out to be far worse than I thought possible.)
I just don't get it. Maybe it's because I thought Halo 1 and 2 sucked when I played them, and never even looked at Destiny until two days before the beta started.

Heh, I've deleted the Invective bounty like 5 times now since I have all the others and it keeps coming up. Doing PVP for Bad Juju was bad enough.
This is FOH/ Rerolled , they just want to bitch. It doesn't matter what the game is.
I remember when WOW was released they bitched for 20 pages that all the houses looked the same so the game was crap.
Eventually they will have thrown in their 2 cents, and we can go on updating this thread with all the latest news/tips, and tricks for the people that are playing.

I enjoyed the beta.. then I got the released game and realized beta was like 25% of the entire game. In theory the game is fine, but in execution it is terrible. Like I said, I enjoyed it up until the moment I beat the game. Then reading about what was left out and the obvious money grabs in the future.. I was done. A for effort, C- for execution.
The marketing was really great too, I really enjoy the commercials filled with shit not in the game.

I think it will be much like diablo 3, really good in a year or so.
The gated content thing is obviouslly lame, and some of their game design decisions are pretty baffling considering these pub games have existed for awhile now, and have a huge history to look back on.

With this patch, we address some widely-discussed concerns with how Engrams are earned and claimed. Strikes have become more rewarding, and the rewards gained from them are more predictable. Also affected is the rotation of maps that appear in the Crucible.

- Legendary (purple) engrams will always produce a Legendary quality item or higher
- Note: Legendary engrams that exist in your inventory will change to Rare quality items when the patch is applied. However, decoding these engrams will still produce the same results as before
- Rare (blue) engrams will always produce a Rare quality item or higher
- Chance for Legendary gear increased
- Materials: Ascendant Shards and Ascendant Energy promoted to Legendary quality (from Rare quality)
Rewards
- Rare (Blue) and Legendary (Purple) Engram drops added to the potential rewards for:
- Vanguard: Tiger Strike Playlist
- Daily Heroic Missions (first time per day)
- Weekly Heroic Missions (first time per week)
- Known issues
- When selecting a higher difficulty for daily missions, XP Bonus not show in the reward display
- You will still get the XP bonus, you just won't see it in the UI
Crucible
- Reduced time limit on Bastion and First Light in Control and Clash from 15 to 12 minutes, bringing them in line with non-vehicle maps in those playlists
- Lowered weighting on Bastion and First Light in Control and Clash so they appear less often in those playlists

Am I just doing something wrong when it comes to exotic bounties? I'm turning in at least a half dozen bounties every day and have yet to see even one. I keep hearing the're just totally random but it seems like some people have gotten them several times. That seems like more than just RNG.

They are random, but if you do all your bounties everyday you will eventually get spammed with them.

I don't know what the deal is with exotic bounties. I went two weeks before seeing a single one, but now I've completed Bad Juju, SGA, and Pocket Infinity, have Thorn in my log waiting for an opportunity to cheese the void PVP bullshit in a pre-made group, and have refused Invective several times. I've gotten at least 15 missives now. I was doing 18 bounties a day, then 27-30 once Queen's Wrath started, so I'm sure that helped.
Edit: Sounds like I was right about old Cryptarch mails being downgraded along with the legendary engrams. Everyone on Reddit that posted about it has said that they got only blues from their mail stockpile. I just ranked up 5 times with engrams I had stashed in my vault and on alts, time to see just how bad the purple droprate has become on post-patch mails.
Also, I lost count of how many blues I opened, but I got only a legendary shotgun, a shitty no-impact AR, and a legendary hunter cloak out of all of them. I did get a shitload of motes though, and one or two coins.

I have a feeling with this new loot system people are going to cry more now, and what it amounts to is basically the same.
With the higher rate of legendary drops in strikes, its probly better just to do them now. especially since most of them you can avoid a good section of the strike itself.

So yeah, about the level of faggotry that I expected from the retard in charge of loot. At least the legendary turned into a solar rocket launcher, didn't have that element before. Of course it has the two worst mods on it though, exactly like my arc RL: pick-up radius and unflinching.
