Pretty sure Tiger strike playlist nets you one blue engram, one blue armor, and an additional chance at an engram plus currency. Some one did a 55/55 pre-and-post patch loot table for Tiger strikes:

Basically it looks like with drops and rewards you're looking at an average of 2 engrams per strike. That's one per 7-10 minutes. That's not too bad at all.

You can easily do 3 patrol missions solo in 5-6 minutes, but those 3 would need to be kill all, collect, or vip. I would get a mission in Steppes, move to Divide (killing along the way), then finish in Rocketyard. Once done I would just return to orbit and start over. If you had another person you could send them off to Mothyards / Forgotten Shore. If you're only doing 3 patrols in 15-20min you're taking the wrong ones. Doing Strikes for Rep (Vanguard/DO/FWC/NM) is a waste of time, just do them for engrams.

He isn't hard to beat without cheesing him, to be honest the time I went on a cheese run it took way longer than killing him normally. Usually takes less than 10 minutes to down him, templar is a harder fight imo.

btw, when did people start using the term cheese, i've never heard that term until this atheon bug. Feels weird typing or saying...

So in one day I jumped from 20 to 25 with one leg helm from daily mission and one leg boot from a tiger strike. Still Vanguard 1, heh. My weapon is that shitpile you get for finishing the story because the leg weapon engrams I got were all mats. Anyhow, nightfall and vog and all that shit open now.

However, since it's the last day - what's the fastest way to max out vg coins? I'm only at like 40. Also I need weekly still so I guess I should hit destinylfg?

When you say "the ps4 party chat", what are you referring to? Are you saying there's a general chat type thing somewhere that people here use to bullshit in / form groups?

I don't really get how to communicate other than the rerolled IRC channel.

Can I mass message my friends list? So far I see "we're doing x and need one more" not "hi carry me" messages so I dunno if that's kosher.

I haven't given much thought to min/maxing my warlock skill tree. Mostly just bullshitting about with different things to gauge effectiveness and not really noticing much in the way of a difference. I like the bolt seeker grenades I guess, although they seem odd - sometimes they do no damage to something right at the impact point, but blow the shit out of everything else. I can't tell if they are wasted on a small number of targets, or if multiple bolts will hit each. Some passives are obviously better than others - full heal on melee kill? Yes thank you. Others - hell I can't even figure which super is most effective. Because they all are pretty much nuclear strikes.

Movement skills - air control seems the best for getting to places, blink the best for confusing the shit out of myself. (pvp skill? Good for getting out of oh-shit pve moments?)

And I guess the "fun" part is leveling the secondary spec from a clean slate and sucking dick for a while.

I think the main question I had was which of the three stat buff combos to use. Agility/toughness, since I already have high recovery? Recovery + toughness, since I'm not even sure what agility even does? Click randomly, because it doesn't matter?

Saved profiles would be nice.

Kreugen: I basically set my Voidwalker build to my preferred load-out for PVP and then set my Sunsinger build to my preferred build-out for PVE. Basically, Sunsinger's self-resurrect is a very good option to have for PVE, but in the little PVP I do play, I prefer to have Nova Bomb.

Blink is really good for avoiding fire, but can be difficult to control. I often end up just short of my intended landing spot and faceplant into a wall.

Blink seems to be the "take falling damage" button from what little I played with it. I felt like an absolute retard using it to try to get up onto a ledge doing a chest run on Mars for some quick iron. Just like the "burst of speed" option seems to be "rocket you backwards off the wall instead of upwards for some goddamn reason."

I thought it'd turn me into a Vanguard from Mass Effect ;/

Fastest way to max out your VG marks would be running around Earth doing Public Events, plus you can be doing patrol missions along the way to earn Rep; can usehttp://www.destinypublicevents.comto see which one is going to pop (they are usually a good 5 minutes late).

Playing a Warlock is pretty fun. If you run Voidwalker, I'd suggest the Scatter grenade + Bloom, and having Nova Bomb split into 3 balls of destruction. Very effective in PvE (just try not to kill yourself). If you go with Sunsinger, I'd use the Seeker grenade + Gift of the Sun (2 grenades), while having the self-rez. For either, I'd run max Toughness + whatever, and using the +speed buff for Glide.

I use the Sony Pulse Elites - but i hear the Golds are just as good but a bit cheaper

I use the golds. I'm no audiophile, but they sound great to me, plus you can usually find sales for around $60
