So I logged on and see a LOT has changed, almost all for the better, thank good. But I do have a couple of questions. Just how accurate, or useful, are the new Toughness, Damage and Healing stats on gear? If they're all green is it safe to say you can switch items and be more gooderer? Do they take into account gems?

Also, what do the little diamond signs next to stats mean? Some are black while others are beige. Anyone?
Mystic/Loot 2.0 Affix Question - Forums - Diablo III

What do the different colored "bullet points" just before each stat affix represent?
Great observation! In Reaper of Souls you might notice that some affixes on items have an orange diamond next to it, and they're meant to indicate the affix will not be calculated in the item comparison tool. In other words, any affix with an orange diamond next to it won't change the red or green numbers in the item window.
There will be a blue diamond for "Enchanted" stat changes, to identify it easier come RoS when we can use the mystic to swap stats.

It's not scary at all now, hardcore in 2.0 is incredibly easy even if you start on expert. Master might be scary though

Hardcore hasn't been scary since they introduced monster power.

I only started playing hardcore because the sc ah was wrekt. The only reason I could see playing hc now is to have paragon lvls when ladders are introduced. If you even keep your paragon progress in new ladder seasons, who knows.

That would defeat the purpose of the ladder. They will push all ladder characters to non ladder, and add the accumulated paragon exp from the now non-ladder characters together. Reset the new ladder paragon level to 0 and then begin the new season like that.

I'm one of the people who didn't stick it out long past the initial release. So I've got like 500k toughness but only 110k damage on my Wizard since we all had to stack resists just to complete Inferno back in the day. Is the biggest damage increase a main hander with a socket and 1300+ dps?

I am not certain if I just got some strange bug... but I just looted 2 items for my wizard, a yellow and a blue, one has a level requirement of 59, the other 60 and it isn't letting me equip them claiming I do not meet the level requirement. Am I missing something?

Yes, attack speed and crit damage usually the 2 bigs one, depending which class you play and so on. Check diabloprogress for profiles.

Everyone has to reset to get the legendary from SK it seems like. Went in with a friend with him just resetting and no legendary.

You also have to go through the entire game before resetting again, so that'll stop SK farming.

Ahhh ok. I figured they might have done something to prevent constant reset/kill SK farming.

Anyone know if they took away the ability for items to roll double of one stat? For instance, the bracers I am wearing in my sig are from the archon recipe before the patch. They rolled the 200 - 230 dex stat from the recipe and then rolled high dex/vit on top of that. I've crafted 10 shoulders and bracers each since the patch and not a one of them went over the 329 dex limit for the new recipe.

Bracer recipe seems to really want to roll percent increase to a certain damage type. Which is great if you have all fire skills or whatever, but I don't. I want crit, go away stupid primary stat.

No more critical mass for the sorc? Sad day, I can understand them nerfing the builds that abused it for immunity but for everything?

That and the removal of the archon buff extension is kind of depressing, frozen orb almost makes up for it but blah :-(

If you hold down ctrl on an item, it will tell you its roll range. I don't believe stats can double up anymore. If they can, it's already put into the roll range information.

I've been playing a new character in HC on Torment I. It's a very different dynamic than playing on expert. Your potion is always on cooldown and you're always running around trying to dodge shit.

It made us (party of 4) notice that electrified is quite scary now. And so does jailer as it does damage when it goes up. It's kind a of pain when you're low on health on a cooldown.

At least I made 50m on the AH first!

Sucks that you can't even craft it for friends

Yea, I wouldn't be against having a function letting you make those things for someone on your friends list for a few weeks. That's a long term commitment that might dissuade someone from just buying it.

That said, some of the newbie sets are tradeable at the least, and most of them have exp bonus. So those are cool.

I'm enjoying this game much more, though my wizard is in a rut. She's gotten several legendaries, but most are shit or not meant for her. And whats more, getting an item that rolls high int makes it worthless for another char to use. I've gotten a few two handers and one handers that would have been phenomenal on my str alts except they rolled int instead.

Legendary first world problems. I'm just happy to be getting them, honestly, though I keep wondering how many god damn swords I can get!

Yeah, shit being BoA is kind of pointless since it invariably itemizes the primary stat towards the character it drops for.

Tinkered with my build a bit more(see sig). Either Exploding Palm or Sweeping Winds - Cyclone are much better improvements than Sweeping Winds(15s duration). Even at 75 spirit, Sweeping Winds doesn't slow down the killing noticeably because Crippling Wave procs cyclones a lot. Like, old FoT - TC levels. I'm using LSK much less now not because I don't have the spirit but because packs that would require 1-2 kicks are now dead in the same amount of time.

Exploding Palm is just as useful, especially on higher torment levels, but I just don't like it. The usage of EP is just too jarring to the normal flow of gameplay. Which is mashing buttons. I hate picking the low health guy out of the pack, making sure I EP him and one of his other buddies, make sure they stick around, and then kill them. It makes for a fantastic "everybody dies now" explosion, but I'm doubting if it's actually faster killing unless monster HP is really high.

Still working on a build for bosses, but not sure it's worth killing them. Speaking of such, what areas are people farming for XP and items?
