Did a couple T3 rifts and got jack, switched to T2 and got a leg off the first elite pack. Went 500 shards with nothing and then two offhands within 50.

So last night I got the recipe for Griswolds Perfection. Looked at the legendary material required, found it can drop mostly anywhere from bookshelves, etc. Ran through Cathedral 1 & 2, got 2 of the mats and 1 ascended sword. Made one and it was bad. Then spent 2hrs running through Corvus a few times...not a single damned ascended sword.

They are called Tsunami Blades for the recipe, hope you didn't leave one

Same thing.

Starting to think I should spend all my shards on weapons until I get a TF or Odyn Son.

(longevity of item) / :emoji_nose:# possible legendaries in slot) * (# blood shards to gamble) * (chance of good affixes) * (efficacy of current item:emoji_nose: = gambling effectiveness
I think gambling weapons for a specific one is pretty horrible. Like you need magefist? Gamble gloves, only like 10legendaries possible so you're bound to find the right one. Want a cindercoat on a DH and don't have a monk? Well you gamble out of 2 items pool, so like 20legendaries, still decent but a bit annoying. Want a melee weapon? Good luck gambling a 60 legendary pool or whatever. I don't know why it has such large categories. It's like if you had to gamble on "armor piece" and you'd get helm/chest/shoulders/gloves/legs/boots randomly.

Well do you have a better suggestion for what to use shards on? Might as well go for the gold.

Ran 9 rifts farming T1 with the exception of grouping with Vorph and Hatemonkey which was either 2 or 3. I netted about 8 legs and 2 plans. Got a pair of frostfire gloves from Kalada which cost me about 300ish shards. Most of my leggys I nuked into forgotten souls with the exception of 2 of them. It took me about 6 hours of playtime between rifts, bounties, farming malth and usual real life breaks and food runs.

Well it depends on your gear obviously, but I feel if you don't have the BiS legendaries for other slots it's probably better to gamble those than weapons. Like you do a fire build? Gamble Andarius/Magefist/Cindercoat/SoJ before you even consider weapons imo. In general since most builds tend to be elemental, Andarius and SoJ are in many cases BiS and as such you probably should just gamble these.

Gambling boots for firewalkers or ice climbers is decent too, but illusory boots from act2 bounties are also nice and you probably get those while farming for shrine gloves so might not be necessary. Shields if you're a crusader are imo very important, there's a few really strong shields that gambling them would be nice, but here crafted shields(specifically hallowed for 20%holy dmg and the shield bash one) are valid alternatives so again depends on what you need. Pants/shoulders aren't quite as good but there's a few decent ones like Yan pants for mobile builds or the poison damage for well, poison builds and shoulders I like the one that cast FoK on getting hit if you're often getting hit, otherwise the ones making your items invuln would save you some gold on the long run, no interupt recall can be nice too.

My point is, unless you don't have a legendary weapon and just want anything, you're better off gambling other slots that have more limited choices to get specific stuff that's going to be a large upgrade, instead of taking a chance on weapons. Obviously, if you have already all the legendaries you want and are only looking for a TF/SoH, then do gamble weapons.

Played for the first time tonight since the latest legendary hotfix. Ran 3 rifts on T2 with a friend, got 2 set items and a legendary (tal rasha 4 piece now obtained!). Also got a set item from gambling vendor (blackthornes legs, which of course got insta sharded).

Very nice buff overall.

I've only done T3 since the hotfix, so can't comment on how it compares to other levels but the additional drops are definitely noticeable compared to doing the same thing yesterday.

Still some gripes though. For one, higher torment needs to give significantly more shards than lower difficulties. I've gotten as low as 44 on T3, and that's retarded. I don't feel like you get enough souls on T3+ either, it seems almost like it's the same drop rate as it is on T1. And I definitely agree that Kadala needs more/reworked categories.

I'm pretty casual at this and quite frankly, not very good. Thought I'd give a T1 rift a try looking to get some nice upgrades for my shitty crusader. Was my first ever attempt at anything T1. Ended up getting 3 legendary drops and 1 set piece in the one I did. 1 of the legendaries was a recipe for a staff and the other 2 of them look like they'd be great on a WD with their int and cold/poison damage bonus'

The set piece was a ring that might be nice if I can reroll the int into something useful. I think it said a skeleton would pop out occasionally when I did damage. Then I got some shit shield trading in my blood shards.

I'd love some constructive advice on what I should do to increase my success in T1. I was doing "OK" for the most part but when there was a named yellow and an elite pack, I got steamrolled like a bitch. Thinking about switching out akarats and putting shield glare in for a stun to help out a bit. Any other changes worth considering for people starting T1?? Appreciate any thoughts.

Lots of legs, sometimes 2 within 1 minute of each other on T3 rifts. Probably averaging about 3-4 per hour of running rifts. Definitely noticing a difference in drop rate. Gambling however seems the same, not as lucky, have gotten 1 leg from gambling about 700 shards (5 shard armors).

I ran T2 rifts for an hour and didn't get one, i've seen 1 all night which was a DH cloak on my poorly geared DH.
I'm pretty sure i'm done with this shit until they add seasons

Crusaders blow, i get no drops. Time to move on for awhile~

Who am I kidding, I'm sure I'll get the urge to play in a few dYs

Had a bizarre day of drops starting with 2 Thunderfury's within 20 minutes of each other this morning then gambling an incredibly good Triumvirate after gambling twice, then getting a Tal Rasha's amulet on my wizards first rift all of these on T1/2.
