Lol wut?No matter what amount of gold you put up on the RMAH, if you cancel it, you'd get 2x the gold back in your stash.
40M is a dollar (.25 per 10M) so that is roughly just shy of 9.3M dollars worth of gold if sold on the RMAH at the new prices they had as of the patch. People been claiming selling thousands of dollars worth of gold because of this, I know theres no proof and people with screencaps of their email being spammed with sold auctions could be faked but man this is more entertaining than the game.
They can't roll back the RMAH transactions already completed, no way they can.they have to roll this back, no way they let this go.
They took the RMAH down. So, no.can you still do this, i might flip my remaining 40mill!
It's just an assumption but I think currency transactions are as close to instantaneous as they can get it so that money is already being sent to paypal etc and I don't know how they can reverse all that either legally or in good conscience. What a mess they have on their hands. I don't see why they can't roll back though, even considering the RMAH, why does the RMAH mean that a rollback can't happen?
Really? I haven't played in quite some time but I seem to recall it taking a while before I received any money via RMAH transactions, maybe a day or two. That could be just my faulty memory though. It's just an assumption but I think currency transactions are as close to instantaneous as they can get it so that money is already being sent to paypal etc and I don't know how they can reverse all that either legally or in good conscience.
Selling items or currency? Items take a while, I think currency does not.Really? I haven't played in quite some time but I seem to recall it taking a while before I received any money via RMAH transactions, maybe a day or two. That could be just my faulty memory though.
I think you mean "Hopefully it is."hopefully it isn't.
It wouldn't be possible to rollback sales I think, if real dollars have actually changed hands and aren't just sitting in a pool somewhere waiting to be sent out then I think they are out of luck, but if the dollars from the sales haven't been sent yet then I don't see any reason that they can't be "rolled back," it isn't actually a rollback though, more like just cancelling the transactions that took place for a few hours today.I think you mean "Hopefully it is."
Lazy ass coding at it's finest. Sure the players are at fault for exploiting the fuck out of it too but as a company I hope this majorly bites them in the ass.
This will cost a TON in fund reversals, assuming that a "few" transactions actually sold paypal and blizzard will be on the line for a TON of money.
Also, what happens to sales that legitimately happened? Are you seriously going to rollback ALL sales because I can see that costing a couple million dollars easily on the global scale.
