I loved d2. But I ended up at least really enjoying D3 post xpac. I was able to finally disassociate it from d3. I had hoped d4 would get similarly “fixed enough.”

What was the expansion even about? I honestly don't know anything about it, I didn't care to really look at it because of the stupid class they introduced.

It was what was cut from the original release. Thats what it felt like, or maybe a small free DLC. It burned what little hope I had for Blizzard to make something good again. I nuked Battle.net from my computer and never looked back.

That makes sense. I guess that's why I wasn't surprised that they had the paladin class available to play way before I guess the new expansion comes out. They're just slow rolling everything and my biggest complaint I make is them just milking the franchise for all it's worth.

I remember when blizzard would keep stuff baking in the oven until it was done because they wanted a great game. Gone are those days I guess.

D4 now feels a lot more like current D3. Lot of fun builds + they added paladin which is fun/op. Nightmare dungeons are way more interesting so teh end game doesnt devolve into farming helltides. World bosses are worth doing even if you don't have the weekly cache as they drop tons of nightmare dungeon sigils and/or boss mats.

Been having fun but like D3 seasons I think its about over. Gonna do goblins tomorrow and see where its at. Probably PoE 2 time this weekend.

Yeah, once I start ignoring all the orange loot unless it has a star, that signals the early beginning of the end for me personally. I'm in T3 w/ my Paladin and as the paragon rains down the power just gets exponentially higher. I'm on step 5 of the season, probably still tinker with it here and there. Goblins should be a fun distraction for a day or two as this first week of vacation wraps up.

PoE1 is the best arpg if you're willing to put in the time and learn the systems.
I don't care much for PoE2. It has some appealing aspects that nowhere near make up for the years of self sabotage GGG has inflicted on the better game.

Their only lure is to release an OP class or OP class meta for a season and roll with that. That is their only shtick. Face roll everything and think you are having fun...nah. Gear is unimaginative top to bottom. Boring gear and the gear is a grind to get now. Wizard chores are boring, as are endgame activities.

They don't understand what makes these types of game fun, and they are always yo-yoing changes.

It might be fun if you already own the base game and keep your expectations low, but I wouldn't be buying the new xpac or anything.
